Kendra, yay for being compliant--you're doing really well! Might I suggest a mindset change from "I hope" to "I will!" -- ? Hoping to be, or we'll see how it goes... those statements give up your power...like it's something that happens to you rather than something over which you have full control. I know it sounds like semantics, but it really affects how you think--which, in turn, governs your behavior, etc. I learned this trick when I first started college 24 years after high school. I conquered math by telling myself everyday that I was gonna' love it and do well -- and I did (A+ babee)! By not making it a scary, aversive thing, I actually enjoyed it! I know...everyone thought I was a freak 'cuz I did extra homework and stuff. But even my instructor used the same technique...instead of tests or exams, we had "Celebrations of Learning," LOL. Anyway, give it a try, you might be surprised at the difference it can make.
