I started today, too!

Postby Kimmers » July 14th, 2007, 11:00 pm

Hi everyone...

I started the program today, too. I thought the food tasted better than I was expecting. Maybe thats because I bought Nutri-system a couple of months ago...that stuff is Nasty!

My questions are:

1- has there been any talk of getting rid of the partially hydrogenated oils? I don't know how they would make the food without it...but just curious because of the problem with trans fat lately.

2- what salad dressings do you guys use?

3 - Are any of you seeing any income from this program? I'm almost as excited about that as I am losing the weight. I have about 40 - 50 lbs to loose...

So...here we go!

Thanks for all you help. From the looks of it, you guys are a tight knit group. Is everyone on the same "team"?

Thanks!
Kim

Welcome, Kim. Many people here are health advisers and get some income from the program. There's a section called Career Opportunities where you can get your questions answered.

They did recently get rid of the high-fructose corn syrup in the bars. I haven't heard anything about the partially hydrogenated oils, but the foods are so low in fat, I'm not sure it makes much difference.

As for salad dressings, some people swear by Walden Farms (I would sooner use them as glue, personally). I and a some others like Maple Grove Farms (just check the labels; some are regular dressings, but they make sugar-free, fat-free and low-fat; I highly recommend their sugar-free Balsamic Vinaigrette). Still others like those salad sprays.

I use the spritzers too. I haven't tried the Asian one yet. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hi Kim - hope you're still doing well. The first 4-10 days are the hardest, but it sounds like you are on track and not having any problems. Good luck! I look forward to hearing about the first week's weigh-in from all the newbies we've got here this week!
