Well I started today. I've had my shakes for 2 weeks and I finely got started. I'm at 330lbs. and my first goal weight is 310lbs. Small goals will add up to my goal weight of 180lbs. The shakes are good and I have made it through today just fine.

Welcome, Fuelman,

I wish you well on this journey!

I am amazed at how I have dropped the weight. All you have to do is stick with it.

I see you said you got shakes; did you get any of the other kinds of food such as bars, soups, or my favorite, oatmeal?

I like some of those in my diet, too. It keeps the variety up.

Good luck with your program this week. I hope to see you post next Monday on the roll call!

Hi, Guest,
You said that you are waiting for your food to arrive. I wanted to give you a tip on what you can be doing over the next few days until it arrives that will prepare you and have you move into immediate weight loss. It worked for me.

What we have been advised is to eliminate carbs from our diet in preparation. If you do this, you will be in ketosis, and you will not get hungry when you start.

For the next few days, focus on eggs, meat, and cheese.

Good luck to you!

Hi fuelman! Congrats on your first day! The taste  shocked me as well, I expected everything to taste so nasty but some of it is actually good, and everything is at the very least edible. :)

Welcome to the club.

Work the plan and the plan will WORK! We're all walking (and talking...incessantly) billboard to prove it! Glad you got started and I wish you luck on your first 3-4 days! Get through those, and the rest is gravy!

Hi Fuelman ,

This is a great place to be for support and encouragement. You made a great choice in committing to MF.

My husband started at well over 400 pounds and is down at least 36 pounds as of yesterday and we've been on plan 5 weeks tomorrow. He is a chronic weigher, which I'm not. I will post both our updates tomorrow on weigh in day.

Drink up! :water:

Welcome Fuelman!

We are thrilled to have you join our big group of losers. What Lan says is correct, you can go ahead and begin working your body into ketosis now. BTW, 8 oz skim milk does replace a MF shake in a pinch so you could go ahead and begin practicing with replacement shakes, as well as, the other protein components.

Good Luck!
