:D Hello everyone,

I am beginning my second journey on Medifast. Last time I took a wrong turn and didn't finish what I set out to do. What I want to do is loose at least 50 lbs., more if possible. :? I'm glad I found such a wonderful site to help me get to the place I want to be. :drive: That is a healther, and better, happier, person.

Thanks for being here.
Have a good one.

Hi JDK,

I'm about to hop into bed (falling asleep at my computer!) but wanted to at least wish you a quick welcome. We've all experienced false starts, missteps, mess-ups, you name it... It's the ones who pick themselves up and keep going who make it in the end, so congratulations on your new commitment to yourself! You definitely found the right place for great support and terrific friends to help you along your journey.

Keep us posted on your progress, and read as much as you can here (lots of great info)... We'll get it done together! Glad you found us!

Welcome, JDK! Nice to have you here -- we need more guys around this place to give us their perspective.

Stay true to the program and you'll have that 50 pounds gone in just about no time. Keep focused on how you want to look this summer and then just do it -- one shake at a time.

Good luck!

Hey there JDK,

Glad to have another guy posting in the forum. I have been here a little over 2 weeks along with my wife, Heidi. Everyone is just great and along with support and sound advice, you will find a few things that will give you a chuckle or two. Nancy is especially witty.......as well as wise! Unca has a subtle wit and is a master of the web (does that make him a web master?..hehe)

We are all in the same boat to one extent or the other.......we want......no, we NEED to lose some weight. I especially like seeing people, one by one, achieve their goals. Whether it is a mini goal along the way or the FINAL goal (such as Rae hit recently), it is inspiring and helps all of us continue the good fight.

Yep, going back to our old ways is tempting all right........but what good does that do? A few minutes of taste sensation and then we have to begin our journey again. Sort of like working hard to climb a steep hill, then losing our balance and rolling to the bottom, requiring that we start the climb ALL OVER AGAIN!! I am lazy, I don't want to do the same work twice!! (besides........Heidi would never let me hear the end of it...ha)

I see you are in Pennsylvania. Heidi and I moved to Southern California from Pittsburgh nearly 10 years ago. Which part are you from? I know there are a lot of tempting foods in Pittsburgh......Italian, Polish, etc. .....not to mention those sandwiches from Permani Bros. in the Strip District......mmmmmmmmmmmm. BUT......each bite of this type of thing brings you closer and closer to the need for Medifast and this forum. Some people never find this forum..........so each bite brings them closer and closer to worse and worse health, poor self esteem, and all sorts of other bad predicaments.

Anyhow, I hope you post often and we will take the Medifast train to Healthtown together! (along with all the wonderful, supportive women who share their thoughts with us in this, the BEST Medifast forum there is!)

HEY HEY JDK! 8)

Welcome welcome. Everyone always beats me to the welcome wagon and I usually don't chime in because of that. But welcome to you and I'm looking forward to getting to know you and experiencing all the joy you will find in getting lean and healthy.

Great job getting started!
