Hi all, Today is my first day of using medifast. I am very encouraged by all of the entries I have read. I am really going to give this my all so I can be a happier, healthier woman, mom, and wife. I exercise regularly 3 times a week but just increased it to 4-5 times a week. I believe this will help me achieve my goal weight. I would love any suggestions for my lean and green meal. I saw someone asked about just skipping it or eating a 6th medifast meal, I too think that would be easier but will stick to the program instead of doing my own method which hasn't worked in the past. If anyone has any yummy recipes for normal food for the lean and green, would love to hear them. Thank you and good luck to you all.

Howdy Hi MM!
Be sure to follow the plan as detailed in the Quick Start Guide, you'll do fine. You may decide to to cut back on the exercise for the first few weeks while your body re-adjusts.
Drink lots of water too !
Ditto That!
Best Wishes
Amber

Hi there,
You won't be a "muffintop" for toooo much longer  But, I'm afraid you'll have to cut your exercise by half the first three weeks of the program. You may wish to cut it a bit more if you just increased the number of sessions. Otherwise you have a good chance of putting your body into "starvation mode" or becoming dehydrated. You'll be parting with lots and lots of water. The other thing we worry about is injuring your muscles at this "stage of the game". After about three weeks you can increase your exercise .. but limit it to no more than 45 minutes each day. |That's about all the "extra calories" you'll have and remember no "panting and puffin".

Hi and Welcome.

Love the name! After 4 months and 40 lbs I'm still fighting muffintop and back fat, but muffintop is a way cuter name than backfat!

As far as L&G, this time of year I pretty much stick with salad and lean. I love a fresh salad with warm chicken on top. If you like salads, find some good low carb dressings. I also like shrimp on my salad.

Follow the quick start guide, get your water and stay tuned in here for support and you will find this program extremely successful.

Good luck! :D
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost

I refuse to ever display muffin top or bra overhang. I use a special camisole if the shirt is snug enough to show it.

so far so good

Okay today is my 4th day and I have lost 6.5 lbs. I have noticed on my exercise days I am hungrier than on non workout days. I found a recipe for oatmeal cookies that I have been making and eating as a dessert. You just use the oatmeat from medifast and add water, baking powder, cinnamon and you can add vanilla if you want. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes. Each pack makes about 5-6 small cookies and count as one of your meals but let me tell you they do the job when I want a sweet snack and they fill me up.
