Start of 3rd week

Postby Sablebaby » July 5th, 2005, 2:21 pm

Today starts the beginning of week 3. I am holding strong and doing great on MF. I feel great and thinner. I have chosen not to weigh myself for another two weeks and just do a monthly weigh in. The scale will mess with my head if I choose to weigh. I am going by how my clothes fit and how I look in the mirror. Those are the important things to measure by, not a number!

I put in another order today and got the goodies that I tried this week. Oatmeal, choc pudding, and cocoa with mm's (which I haven't tried yet, but it must be good). I also ordered the Success in a shaker jar book and the lifestyles book. I ordered the RTD's for my trip and should be set until Aug.

All I can say is that I am happy that I stuck with it this past week. The first part of week two was HARD, but it got very easy quickly after that. Hang in there newbies! You can do it!

Congrats on getting past the first two weeks!

I have the cocoa with marshmallows, but next time I'm ordering just plain cocoa. The marshmallows don't taste like marshmallows at all to me; they're more like little bits of sugar (no fluffiness or marshmallow taste that I could discern). I'd rather just make the regular cocoa with some DaVinci in toasted marshmallow flavor!!

You're doing it, Heather! Before you know it you will be finishing another week! I can just picture those pounds melting away (like Martha says!). I haven't tried the hot chocolate, but have enjoyed the Chai Tea (not sure of that spelling!) and enjoy it. I've only had it hot, but the ad says it can be prepared cold, too. I also tried some coconut extract in my 'nilla shake....SUPER YUMMY!

Congratulations on sticking to your commitment to becoming a healthier and happier YOU!

I'm about to die to weigh myself in week 1!!! I don't know if I could wait a whole month. That would be so cool to see the scale after a month!!! Hmmm....Im tempted to join you on that one. That way I won't give up or be frustrated by the numbers, I will only be able to go by what is in the mirror.

I think I might give my scales to my Mom to keep until it is time to weigh. *giggle* That's bad......

Week three is going to be a breeze. Keep busy and keep shaking!!!! :D

Heather - you are doing so well !!! You sound completely prepared for your journey. Tell me how you like the hot chocolate - I was not thrilled with the pudding  One month is amazing in terms of weighing in- and I think you have the right idea - clothes and the mirror really tell the story - that and how we feel. Also glad to hear week two got easier toward the end - I think I read somewhere it takes 14 days to form a habit - good or bad, either way I am looking forward to week 3. Take care and I will be looking for your posts - Mytime

Thanks guys!

I NEVER thought I could go an entire month without weighing. But right now I don't want to know. I am taking CONTROL, not allowing the scale to take control of me! I don't want to be some insane person obsessing over a number. I have better things to do with my time. I have a new semester to worry about! hehehe :D

Good thing because I can be insane and scale obsessed enough for both of us 8) . I cannot imagine doing MF in Grad school. I was so stressed I used to eat a pint of Ben and Jerry's two days before finals. No matter what was going on diet wise the wheels always came off for exams. Funny but I have myself thinking before I have to face something challenging that I need to eat something to shore myself up for whatever it is. Ah addiction - anyway what I am trying to say is I am extremely impressed by your strength and determination. You are going to face this next semester stronger and healthier - what an awesome gift to give yourself! Mytime

I know, I figured you all would instantly think of M&M's, but I was too lazy to type out the whole dang word. :devious:
