Starbucks Question?? Can I have this??

Postby Disney Mike » April 8th, 2007, 10:58 am

I have a question but I think I know the answer but let me preface,,,I am back here to the forums to drop 50#. I did very well with MF and lost 70# and I am ready to re-start, lose what I gained back and get to my original goal.

Anyhow, since I lost the 70#, my tastes have changed considerably. I now love Sushi, Olives and the infamous Starbucks Carmel Macchiato. Until losing the 70#, I hated, absolutely abhored the taste of coffee and now I have to have it.

The question is this, can I get the Carmel Macchiato as "Sugar Free and Non-Fat" and use my Splenda as a sweetner?

My Goal date is June 2 for the wife and I's trek to Disney, must I wait that long???

Since there is no sugar free option for the actual caramel, what you have just you have just described is a sugar free skim latte. Some people in the program have them upon occasion as a replacement for a supplement.

Ummm, last time I checked, they don't have SF caramel. Other coffee places do, but not Starbucks. ;)
I get the coffee with SF vanilla or SF cinn dolce. Sometimes I will get a SF cinn dolce or SF vanilla latte with lowfat milk and count it as a replacement.

As for the Starbucks light base for the Frappacinno ... it still has too much sugar (they use fructose and splenda, not just splenda). :x

So, if they had a SF caramel then you could use that, but otherwise I would advise against it Mike.

Also, I've looked into the Torani SF caramel topping.... its loaded with calories (uses glycerine... 80 cal for an ounce).

Hope this helps.

Sugar Free Syrups

Postby gillian » April 9th, 2007, 11:44 am

Hey! They have this new caramel flavored sugar free syrup there now. It came out at Christmas... So a black coffee with that and some splenda and you should be good... (wELL, A LITTLE OF THE half and half is good)

Last time I checked (yesterday) the only SF options at Starbucks was SF vanilla, hazelnut and cinnamon dulce.

:) I was craving a mocha cappuccino this morning on the way to work, but I behaved myself. (Actually the drive thru was really long so it saved me!)

One of my favorites too.!... have you ever tried mixing hot chocolate and cappucino together? I do it all the time. Not quite the same, but I like it. Remember two packs is two meals.

Good job on the drive by.....

Actually- I get my morning coffee or tea at work, drink half, then add a packet of hot cocoa! It is yummy!

Starbucks differ per location...SF Carmel "flavoring" is available here in WI, I just don't do Carmel, my hubby swears by it. I like the Cafe Americano witha Slenda and NF milk....
