Stabucks

Postby lauradr » January 13th, 2007, 5:53 am

I have a question--a lot of places I go-- the only place I can get coffee is a Stabucks---I would like to know is there any thing legal other than coffee

Their teas are legal. I particularly like the passion fruit tea, but they have several flavors.

I go almost every day and get water, hot tea, iced tea (not recently) and regular or half-caf coffee. It is exactly half a mile from my house so that's how I get in at least a mile a day. I have a Starbucks card so I just whip it out and march home!

OCCASSIONALLY I get a fat free sugar free cappacino, flavor of your choice. I happen to like the white mocha, the caramel and the peppermint mocha. But just be sure to get the fat free sugar free. It is made with skim milk and sugar free syrup.

We were getting decaf coffee with SF vanilla and then adding a little Half and Half.
They have a new SF syrup now, Cinnamon Dolce... very tasty.

Mmmmm. That cinnamon dolce sounds delish!
I'm with Serendipity. Passion tea, iced or hot is yummy, with a little spenda... very good.

I love Starbuck's lattes made with skim milk - and add a flavored sugar-free syrup - yum. That could count as the lean part of a lean and green, no?

Am I looking at the wrong teas? The Tazo Passion Iced Tea has 16g of carbs. Is there a tea section I am missing that has carbless teas?

I am looking at starbucks website and cant find any teas carbless. I know she wrote stabucks but I assumed it was starbucks. My bad if I am wrong.

You have to ask for the tea plain, no sugar.

Ask an expert, but really, I don't think you can count the milk in your cappuccino as your lean. Milk is only a stand by when you are out of supplements.

Thanks for the info Jo. I knew you were not drinking it with that many carbs. I might have to try that.

Starbucks!!! Yummmy
Once in a while I get myself a non-fat sugar free vanilla latte and count it as a meal replacement. I make certain I order one with 8 oz or so of skim milk... that's the replacement. I wouldn't do it everyday .. you're not getting all the vitamins of the MF meal replacements .. but once in a while I think it works :D

And just to follow that up. I agree with Jo about the lean part. I sometimes do as Jan says... have it as a supplement, not as part of your lean.

I was going to ask this question myself...as I have a coffee-date...Wednesday! Not much of a coffee girl, maybe that hot tea will be good for me...

I have my own espresso machine. (Yes, I am a coffee snob.) So, I hit the Starbucks only rarely. That said, I have gotten the chai hot tea, then added a little milk and some splenda. Truly delish! And also less than $2, so you won't need to take out a second mortgage to pay for your Starbucks fix!
