Squishy bellies

Postby tammyc » February 13th, 2006, 9:02 pm

My son (4yrs), informed me tonight that I had to stop eating diet food.
He is afraid that I wont be a squishing bellied mama anymore. LOL
He is truly upset. If he only knew that this diet will keep me alive to see my grandkids someday. HMmmm....out of the mouths of babes.

To the end of squishy bellies!

Tammy

That is too cute! He will be so thrilled though once mommy has all that weight off and can run and play with him more.

.....I am with you "to the end of squishy bellies"

Ha. My young cousin has always loved "squishy" people, too. And even now, at 11, it's the first thing she asked when she saw how much weight I'd lost so far. She was worried I'd lose my squishiness.

Well, some parts of me will ALWAYS be squishy, so I told her not to worry.

My grandkids have never talked about my squishy stomach but they like my hanging skin on my arms.

The funny part is that I remember playing with my grandmothers hanging skin on her arms and thinking how soft it was.

I remeber my gramma's arms, too. She used to hold them up so that we could play with them. When I think of that now, it makes me love her so much. She was so cheerful about it.....I wonder how she really felt.

I worry about how my grandson will react to my weight loss. Right now, I see him almost every week, and I really don't think he's noticed (he's 4), but if a month goes by and I don't see him, I worry about his reaction. Silly, I know, but when I lost weight before, his father was 7 and he was quite upset at first. He didn't want his mommy to change. But, hey, Jake will adjust to the new me and the new me will be such a better gramma!
