Spaghetti Squash?

Postby mmob » March 7th, 2006, 11:59 am

Is this allowed? I am in need of pasta -- or shall I say - WANT of pasta!! LOL

I have a feeling it is not - but I am asking anyway!

Cheers!

I believe it'a not allowed, sorry. Just summer squash and zucchini. Someone here has tried cutting their zucchini julliene style to make it pasta-like. Maybe you could try that.

I sometimes use a vegetable peeler to slice the zucchini. It makes pretty zucchini "ribbons" that are great under a homemade tomato sauce!

I love zuch and summer squash...

Postby Ginabobina1969 » March 11th, 2006, 11:23 am

I very often cut into disc then julienne..I use olive oil flavor pam, I get the pan a bit hot but not smoking and I add 1/4 tsp of minced garlic..then toss in the julienne zuch and squash. I sprinkle with McCormick fresh ground peppercorn medley, and McCormick Fresh ground italian seasoning as well as a little salt.
I like having this with lemon pepper Talapia or Chicken breast cooked with 1 tsp-1 tbsp of Kraft free, Zesty Italian Dressing.

MmmMmmmm..I think I know what I am having for lean n green tonight. :-P

Hugs,
Gina
