To soy crisp or not

Postby Lucy » January 6th, 2007, 5:25 pm

Can anyone give me an opinion on the soy crisps?

For me, THEY ARE GOOD  TOO GOOD  .

So, I don't order them anymore (too tempting for me).

Is that what you are looking for ? :-P

They are definitely delicious. Only order them if you can control yourself. Or if you're not really a chip person. I love them, but I never ate more than a bag a day when on plan. I'm just not that big on eating chips.

They're GREAT to bring along to movies and stuff, though.

Actually, I will second that for sure. Soy crisps and a chocolate MF bar (if you save it long enough in the day) are a great way to have a movie experience while on plan :).

I love the ranch soy crisps. I always keep a bag in my purse for those times when I'm stuck somewhere and it's a little more than 3 hours til my next meal. They're just enough to hold me over. I don't have any problems eating just one bag, and I'd usually only have them 1-3 times a week.

I'm with Karli. When we have time to go see a movie (we did see three over this break), a bag of soy crisps and a bar are perfect to take.

We keep the crisps around, and some days we have them, and some days we don't.

COOL Thank you all so much, I appreciate this forum for this very reason, I knew I could get some ideas, the movie snack idea is a PERFECT one, I am not a real big chip person but sometimes they are 'just right"....I will add them.

I do not like ranch anything, so I have no opinion on those, but the white cheddar are really good. I am fine on not going overboard with them, so I have no problem with them. I like to bring those if I am somewhere because they are just in a silver bag and have no label on them. Less explanation for people who don't feel like giving one.

I always mean to order the apple ones and use them to dip into banana pudding. I never remember until after I hit SEND. I prefer them to the crackers anyday, plus they are not that expensive in comparison.

Some days you might not be in the mood, but they are a good snack.

I don't particularly like ranch dressing, but I LOVE the ranch soy crisps. Even more than the white Cheddar, I think.

I have enough addictions so I am steering clear. Maybe in a few months, but not now...

Shoot! I'd have to write a post-it to remind myself to write that post-it.

The apple ones are SO GOOD! Even better then the Ranch ones. I don't have mine often either but I do have to hide them from my DH & DD as they LOVE them also but don't know how to have one bag. LOL! I am fine after just one bag.
I haven't tried the other Chedar ones yet.

Sometimes I am still finishing up when the kids come back in after lunch and of course, I am a sucker when the kids don't have enough lunch money or have whatever problem that they didn't eat breakfast in the morning or something.......

anyway, all of the kids I have shared with or given packets to loved them. They ask for "the weird cheetos, ya know, like those round ones, but kinda like the rice cakes, ya know". Hey, some even like them better than hot cheeots, which, if you know HS kids, is a feat in itself. How they eat them I will not ever know, but they do, but I am glad they like my white cheddar, too.

We'll see how this all works out, but if a kid should ask one day, I think knowing that some of the foods I have in the room are things he or she already likes, that is half the battle.
