Just wondering here...since I see several soups on your list and the hot cocoa, it makes me think that you might need some
help with preparation.
If the soups, the apple cinnamon oatmeal and hot cocoa are mixed according to the package directions, they don't taste very good at all.
Here are some tips.
Hot Cocoa:
s-l-o-w-l-y add a packet of Medifast
hot cocoa to cool water and stir until all powder is incorporated into the water. Micro 1 minute. Stir. Micro again 1/2 - 1 minute until hot enough for your liking. Do NOT boil! It is also good with a teensy tiny (and I mean TINY winy) drop of peppermint extract.
Chicken Noodle Flavored Soup/ Chicken With Wild Rice & Vegetables Soup
Stir one packet of Medifast soup into 1 cup of cold water until well-blended. Microwave 1 minute and stir again. Nuke for 1/2 minute and put it into the refrigerator
until later in the day when you re-heat and eat.
Yep, that means you need to prepare it earlier in the day so the soup has time to absorb the water, the chicken, noodles or rice have time to reconstitute and the flavors can develop. Add salt and pepper. Mrs. Dash has some excellent no sodium spices. Curry powder or Italian seasonings are great added to the soups. Look through the Lean Cuisine Web Room for more ideas.
The soups are great prepared on the stove in a saucepan and allowed to simmer for a while, too.
Good things come to those who prepare their soups in advance. It is not a shake it and slurp it meal. It is possible to just mix, heat and then eat but in my humble opinion, it tastes
nasty that way and I'd be trading mine, too. Prepared in advance, it is awesome!
Apple Cinnamon OatmealStir 1 packet of Oatmeal into 8 ounces of cold water.
Add 1 packet of Splenda and more
cinnamon.
Micro for 1 minute, stir and micro for another ½ to 1 minute.
Wait.
Yup. Wait for 5-10 minutes for the apples to come back to life and the oatmeal to thicken.
Don’t forget to try making the oatmeal into a batch of legal Medifast Oatmeal cookies. See the Lean Cuisine web room for the recipe.
