You people are wonderful.

Albert is doing better than he should be doing, which is awesome.
He has a great attitude and his sense of humor has remained intact,
which, I really believe, will make a huge difference.

Jerod had a stress test today that went pretty well. During the cool-down period though, his heart was throwing in extra beats, so that was concerning. More tests to follow. He feels fine, and seems to be handling the scariness of the whole situation really well. He's learning all he can about this condition (future doc that he is!) and realizes how "lucky" he is, if Brugada syndrome is, indeed, what he has. He told me all about the defibrillator device that can be surgically implanted to correct any arrhythmic activity (what Tawanda was talking about). I had read up on it myself, and his description was amazing! He knew every little thing about it. So...other than that, nothing really new to report, but I'll keep y'all updated.

You all were right, of course, about this being a silver lining...to have found out now. As Robin pointed out, these conditions are usually not known until the autopsy is performed. See, logically and medically, I know all of this - but it's really difficult to separate the emotion from the reality when it involves one so near and dear.

Thank you all SO much for your kindness, prayers, well wishes, positive energy, and overall amazing support. I also appreciated the personal experiences that some of you shared - Mizz T, Sue, and Mary - thank you so much for that. OMG, and the well-wishes for Lucas in Iraq...I shared those with him (isn't Instant Messaging wonderful?) and he asked me to let you all know how much he appreciates that.

Can I just say it again? You people are wonderful!

Hey Sojo,

I'm glad to hear the positive report on your brother in law and nephew. You are another strong woman who shows such courage and understanding during difficult times. I'm praying for the best for your brother in law and your smart-as-a-whip nephew. Take care :)

With your Jerod, well, I know the doctors always give us the worst scenario sometimes and I hope it is not serious. I'll pray for your nephew serving in our Army too.

Thank you so much, Elizabeth!!
No, really...thank you.
Hey, I looked for your journal to leave this message, but I couldn't find one for you.
Wha?? Didn't you used to have a journal? I coulda' sworn...

Anyway, I'm glad you're back - how're you doing?

Thank you, sweet girl!
You really made me giggle though, because when I first read what you wrote, I thought it said something about my smartass nephew! HeeHee  Fortunately, he did not inherit that from his auntie! He is actually a very sweet and sensitive young man...so rare, especially in a jock, huh?

Hey, I posted something somewhere tonight (I've done a lot of posting tonight! :goofy:) where I mentioned folks that are inspiring others to begin exercising by their example...and I don't believe that I said your name. But, oh my guuutness, girlie! You are tearing it up! And I loved the pic you posted in the Studio ~ or was it in your journal? Wherever it was, it was hot, girl! Oh, yeah, I think I was responding to Lauren's post in the Maintenance forum. I'm going back right now and edit it to include your name, because you are rockin' it!

Thanks for stopping by my journal, Sojo. I caught your post last night and did an internet search on BDD and a lot of reading. I'm still processing it but I'm going to think about seeing someone again, even if not for that reason. Thanks for the psych-student smackdown.

Sojo you are such a wonderful person and such an inspiration. You always seem to say/write just the right thing when people need to hear it. I also love your wit. Love the fact that you almost read 'smart-ass' in Quenie's post - when I first read it that's what I thought too. Funny how our brains process things.

I hope everything is going well for you, your nephew and your brother-in-law. Happy 4th!!

Spooky! I'll use a different adjective next time as not to cause any trouble :)

That Sojo Mojo is something else. You should bottle it and sell it...it's too good for you to keep it to yourself :) But as long as you're giving it away for free, I'll take it. Hope things are well with you.

Duude, Sojo, I am just leaving apologies all over this forum today! I am so sorry I missed all the health drama happening for you, but so pleased that I came on to see that things seem to be looking a bit brighter for your family! It's brutal what you're all going through, both with your BIL and your nephew, and I just wish you all the easiest and best results across the board. That's really all we can wish for, right? We can't always get what we want, but we sure as he** can hope that the process will be as seamless as possible, you know?

Since it's profoundly obvious that you're the nurturer/caretaker/stoic chic, please be sure to make sure to take care of your emotional needs periodically too, or you will eventually crumble. Yeah, yeah, you're fine, you don't need it, it's everyone else who's struggling, blah blah. Sojo, you will be the best support to your family if you're also be kind to yourself - so however that translates for you, whether it's to go for a walk each day, to exercise, to take some time to read a great book, whatever, make sure you do it. We want to see you come through all the chaos as freakin' fantastic as you always are, and that can only happen if you take care of yourself too!

Thanks for being such a rock star to me while you're going through crap - that's how cool you are!

Ditto to what Lauren said.
Hope things are better. BTW... if you have anytime available next week, Di and I will be in the exhibit hall at the Solano County Fair in Vallejo. Fair is July 11-15. Let us know if you would like to come.
