Hola y'all!
Just have a minute...I haven't read the last few posts here, but I just wanted to say that I'm not AWOL again! ;)

School began yesterday, today was crazy intense (I left the house at 7:15 a.m. and returned after 9:30 p.m. - I'm wiped),
and we're leaving tomorrow for a long weekend. Will get back to y'all after that, I hope!

I went straight from my last class to the hospital, 'cause...
#36 was born today! She's beautiful!

 Isabella

(I've already called her both Izzy and Bella ~ I love both).
6 lbs., 14 oz., 18.75 inches.
Yeah...it's still exciting and joyous even after 36!
#37 is due in March!!

Hasta, y'all!

Hey Sojo - I too was AWOL for a while. Had a wonderful vacation in Florida for two weeks but also really didn't realize how much a grandbaby was going to change our lives nor take up so much of my time. Not enough time in the day to get to everything.

I am so sorry to hear about Chloe and about all the health problems your family continues to endure. I truly hope that things go better for you and your family.

Thanks for continuing with your posts - this site would not be the same with you!!

What I admire about you the most Sojo, is your unwavering spunk and positive attitude, which was surely missed when you were gone. And I know that these are the same qualities that will pull you through these tough times.

As you would say: Duuuude!!! I'm so happy you're back

Duuuuuuuuude!!!!
That was SO nice, Kanani ~ gracias!
I'm so happy that you're back, too!

But, and forgive the annoying idealist in me, but I always tell people that if things didn't sometimes suck, there would never be the joy of when things are wonderful. Yeah, it's cheesy, but isn't that why we all love a rainbow? The beauty that comes after the rain?

I don't know, I'm not normally the type to get all warm and fuzzy, but I really believe that the struggles that we encounter in life only prepare us to appreciate and enjoy the moments of greatness. They peek their heads in there when we least expect it!

Much love to ya, kiddo.

lauren

OMG, Lauren ~ you got all touchy-feely for me!

You're right...sometimes things just suck.
You're right, again...there can be no "good" without the "bad."

Yeah, some of this is really heavy duty stuff ~ but I know that it could always be worse.
And then.....in the midst of all this scariness.....comes new life and all the promise and hope that it brings.

Thanks for the love ~ I feel it!

And I hope that wherever she is, she says hi to my Maggie for me.

Awwwww, Rob ~ that was really sweet.
My housekeeper's husband (and work partner) passed away last year, and he had known Chloe since her puppy days and was always playing and running around with her. When my housekeeper heard about Chloe, she said that Bob (her DH) was probably chasing her with a mop somewhere! How does Maggie feel about mops?

Thanks, Biki!
We had a marvelous time...we were in Tahoe and it was stupendously beautiful.
The weather was perfect and such a nice break from the uck we've been having here.
We didn't win big bucks, but didn't lose much either ~ just enough to have lots of fun!

We stayed at Harrah's, and they upgraded our room to a very nice suite.
We're not sure of the reason for the upgrade...DH's birthday?
Anyway, it had a large jacuzzi bathtub and a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding area.

Mmmmmm. Tthe tub was just what this battle-worn chick needed!
And then.............uhm, let's just say that it must've been Thanksgiving somewhere.....
