Postby hollyhouse » February 26th, 2006, 4:08 pm

soo aggravated. so to make myself feel better about the no reason pound gain i went out and stuffed my face with a hostess pink snowball AND a chunk chocolate bar and THEN a slice of pizza!! so now i finally went wayyyy off the medifast. this is my first pig out since starting this diet.

I just feel like im the only one it isn't going to work for. im soo mad!!
at myself!! i was mad at the pound gain and now even madder that i probably set myself way back to square one again. i feel soo sick

Holly

Hang in there sister! Get right back on program and next time just remember that the stuff you ate today didn't taste as good as you thought it would. I know that this can be difficult at times but it is well worth it. The program does work just make sure you follow it to the letter and stay off of that nasty scale! Just remember that our body weight fluctuates daily. You can do this friend.

Get to shakin

You know how to do this...My goodness you have lost 13 pounds in a little less then three weeks!!!!! Normally, on other diets..there is NO way you would have lost that much, that quickly.

You already ARE one of those people who DO lose weight quickly on this diet. Just get back on board and don't let that daggone scale dictate how your feeling from day to day.

You can do this you just need to learn to focus on what you have already accomplished and patience when things don't seem to be going as quickly as you would like.

Hey there Holly...you lost ONE little battle in the WAR over food addiction. Just get back up, begin again, forget about what's behind you and get back on program. You already understand what sent you over the edge. So learn from that for next time you feel frustrated. Think of this not has a failure, but a chance to learn something about yourself and let it make you stronger.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!! :)

Oh Holly!

I hope you feel better soon! Please, PLEASE don't beat yourself up about todays "side-step". Just get right back on...I mean RIGHT now! Don't let this mistake cause you to lose control and get you away from your goals.

I remember I was doing so well with a self-directed nutrition program (eating right, exercising) and I was going strong for about six weeks. I was feeling down about some personal issue and decided to have pizza (my weakness) one evening. That slice turned into four! I gave myself the excuse that oh, my mom just came for a visit this weekend to see my mother-in-law back to Egypt, I'll get back to it tmrw. Then tmrw came I had bkfst with everyone, was "too tired" to exercise, and said, okay, after this weekend after my MIL leaves, I will get back....I NEVER got back.

I'm just saying that this progress that you've made so far can get away from you SO easily if you're not careful and don't take back control right away. Just tell yourself that you don't want to feel down like this again and that you really want to change your life for the better and it takes committment. You owe it to yourself, Holly!

I've been reading your other posts and in regards to your comment about the goals of some people being 150...yes, it's true, I'm one of them! Right now, I would LOVE to be 150. But I am in my skin and you are in yours. We are all unique, special individuals with our own personal goals to achieve. We are all physically made up differently as well, so please do not torture yourself by comparing someone's 25# weight loss to your 13# done in the same time. We are all different. And I happen to think that it is IN-CRE-DI-BLE that you have lost 13# already! Know that it is possible that YOU, YOU,YOU Holly might be an inspiration for someone else because of what YOU have lost (poundwise) and an inspiration for what we hope you will overcome (this minor, minor setback).

So please, forgive yourself, keep posting, and keep shakin'!

Holly,

I'm so glad that you posted to tell us what happened to you. Rather than slink off somewhere to sulk, you faced up to it and that proves you have the fortitude it takes to succeed!

You can ask any other Medifaster; If we cast everything to the wind when our weight fluctuates up and down daily, not one of us would be left standing! Any number of reasons could have been the cause of your weight up-tick and none of it your fault.

So take heart, baby, the only thing wrong now would be if you stay down after falling. You'll see things will get better. We're here!:pet:

Hi Holly,

If it's any consolation, there isn't a week that goes by that I haven't gained between a pound or 1/2 pound, but it always comes off. Like everyone has said, our weight fluctuates daily.

Looks like you are doing great with your 13 lb. loss and your little side track is not the end of the world, just a lesson to learn from. You got it out of your system, it made you feel bad and didn't even taste good...so now you can move on. Maybe it was a learning experience you needed at this particular time.

We all have our pitfalls at one time or another....we can't help it....we're human. You will lose weight on the program (you have already proved that) and it will work for you.

Patti
