Sleep it off

Postby mytime » March 15th, 2009, 9:07 pm

Just wanted to share that I had read in I believe Glamour magazine that sleeping 7.5 to 8 hours a night will help you lose wt. They had some people test this out with no other diet changes. One person lost 15 pounds and many lost at least 1 inch off their waist. Someone lost 2.5 inches. Their explanation was that calories are processed in our sleep and if we do not sleep enough they are stored as fat in our tummies. YIKES I have 2 small kids and like eveyone else work a million hours, so getting sleep is a major challenge. I know when I did medifast in the past when I did not get sleep I seemed to lose less. So if you are at a plateau etc. Try sleep and stay with the plan - it works. I know I have before and after photos to prove it. Rock on people. Mytime

Good idea. The body is resting so it makes sense. Now, to just find the time to do all that sleeping.
Don't really care as long as everything's better than yesterday was...
