I tried the chicken noodle soup "Nancy" style. Not too shabby!

Worked too hard today, so I'm gonna chop 3 bags of onions for my church's annual hayride, then I'm going to hit the hay myself! Have a great night!

I hope you have a food processor!

Oh Biki, I certainly DO have a food processor. We've killed several during our marriage (pulverizing oreos, primarily), so I bought the mamma-jamma Cuisinart last Christmas. It works like a dream! My hubby didn't even know I was using it in the next room, it works so quietly. Thank goodnes for powder-free latex gloves, because I didn't have a bit of onion smell on my hands afterward. (I had to peel the onions and quarter them to make for a cleaner chopping in the Cuisinart.) Of course, due to my kitchen being next to the living room, my DH and oldest son were complaining that their eyes were burning, and the dog came to the baby gate and started doing the "Stevie Wonder" motion, I call it...he sticks his snout in the air and starts sniffing in a figure 8 formation. It's bizzare. But, there's nothing "normal" in life, is there??

Okay, I'll ask. What were you doing with all those pulverzied Oreos? On ice cream? in a pie?

Actually, they were for Oreo truffles.

WARNING!! The following is a recipe NOT approved on the MF plan!

Pulverize a package of your favorite oreos, mix in an 8 oz pkg of cream cheese, roll 'em into little balls and dip in melted almond bark. Refrigerate. People go nuts for 'em.

And, you know what? I'm going to enjoy a couple of 'em for Christmas in 2009!

Yes, and while the artery is clogging, a diabetic coma ensues.... I lived in a perpetual fog while not on a low carb program.... I love being clear!

Another couple reasons to lose weight

Postby Signladytf » October 8th, 2007, 9:18 am

I just thought of these reasons to lose weight:

1. That when I sit in my car that my girth doesn't strip the bolts so that my seat rocks back and forth whenever I move--I've done that to 3 cars so far.....

2. So I don't have to go to movie theaters that only offer "Stadium Style Seating."

3. So I don't break toilet seats.

4. So mattresses last longer....

I just want to be able to go to someone's house and sit in a chair without them worrying that I will break it. Some of the looks that causes. Or how about NOT wearing out the upper inside thigh seam of your jeans before anything else on them wears out - I HATE THAT.

I'd like just to wear jeans again!!

I thought of a #5....Not to have to take ibuprofen everyday for joint aches and pains...for a long time, I was in denial that most people have to do that. But good grief, I'm only 32! Everyone else in my age range can run around with their kids and don't have a hard time getting up and down out of a hard chair...I'll bet they don't hear their bones grind when they walk uphill, either!

I'm hoping and praying that I can lose weight like a crazy woman from now until the end of the school year...while my children, both biological and in school are getting bigger and taller, I want to be shrinking before the next school year. The way I started, I will have 51 weeks to lose everything humanly possible before the 2008-2009 academic school year. I hope to be close to or at goal by then. Wouldn't that be something???

Not EVERYBODY else in your age range. I am on your side of the street too. I kept myself in denial about jeans by wearing Gloria Vanderbilt stretch jeans. I gotta say I LOVE them. Being around horses and rodeos one sticks out when one is large - it is even worse when one is not wearing some kind of denim.
