Hi,
I looked up in my quick start guide and could find no reference to shrimp or seafood; so I did a search of this website. In that, I saw a post by Nancy stating that she uses shrimp and crab.

The search button is at the top of this page, and it is invaluable.

Good luck to you on this diet.

Oh Yummy!!! Shrimp and shellfish are just fine. In fact, you get 7 oz and that's a lot. Just don't deep fry it or bread it. And of course nothing in butter. But, it is wonderful just sauteed in the pan with a little Pam. In fact someone just told me she added some Davinci S/F coconut syrup to the shimp and had coconut shrimp. Yum.. I can hardly wait to try that!!

I have also added SF RUM syrup. I don't drink, but I am told they tasted like the real thing. I add it to the marinade

I like to sautee the shrimp with a bit of minced garlic and Pam, then when they are cooked I spray them lightly with the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Garlic and Herb spray. It tastes like shrimp scampi!

I'm thiking about grilling some shrimp on my George Foreman tonight. I've never tried that before.

If I buy 7oz of shrimp (tail removed) that is going to be a TON of meat.

Remember that it's 7 ounces AFTER it's cooked. So that's even more.

I usually buy my shrimp precooked/frozen. If I measure out 1/2 lb. of shrimp and remove the tails, the result is 7 oz. I buy the 21-40 count in the 1 lb bag, count out half of the shrimp (I still weigh it, but it always works out the same), and enjoy with my calorie free Walden farms cocktail sauce. My very very favorite Lean! Yummy

I know, that's something I really need to work on. I have been going for 8oz. precooked, but usually that ends up a little under 7oz. It's hard to guess correctly!

Yep. I often cook a little extra of whatever I'm having, just to be sure. And give the rest to the dogs. They love Medifast, especially if I'm having steak!!

But if it doesn't come out exactly right, I don't think it's a big deal. If I'm within an ounce, I figure I'm OK.

I love the shrimp too!

I acutally saute'd mine in a bit (1/4 c)of chicken broth. I added old bay seasoning, and fresh ground pepper.. let it cook with the lid on..they were tender and yummy. I had fresh steamed green beans with that..I like to leave them long instead of snapping them apart and I spray with butter flavor pam, sprinkle with salad supreme and a little salt.

Lots of Ideassss! Yum!

Hugs,
Gina

scallops are also really good, really filling and very low fat. They are good broiled (with a little salt and cayenne) or stir fried with your veggies. Sometimes I even have a few shrimp, a little bit of chicken and some scallops all together....Really, Really yummy.
