I may not be Indian royalty, although rumor has it that my lineage goes into Cherokee royalty (whatever that is). I do know that I am a shirt-tail relative of Jesse and Frank James (not that I am proud of that).

Di is a direct decendent of James Hepburn (Earl of Bothwell, last known husband of Mary, Queen of Scots). She is also a shirt-tail relative of Tom Coster (he sang and played keyboards on Black Magic Woman by Santana).

On a side-note..... Di and I bought the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon board game on our honeymoon in northern Washington back in 1998.

Cool. On my mother's side we are related to the Younger brothers who used to hang out with the James brothers! So a long time ago your relatives and my relatives used to be outlaws together!

Okay, so I'll follow this up with yet another partners in crime story, on a monarchical level.

As mentioned before, Di's family tree reached back to James Hepburn and Mary Queen of Scots. Well, how did he actually come to be married to Mary? I'm glad you asked. It seems that he hired a man with the last name of Clelland to off her husband so that he could marry her.
My last name is McClelland.... which means son of Clelland. My roots are in Scotland and later Ireland.... so..... my ancestor killed the Queens husband so that Di's ancestor could become her husband.
