Postby Joy » June 30th, 2007, 10:32 am

I JUST EXSPECT IT MAY TAKE ME A FEW DAYS TO BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO THE SOY?

No need to shout. :)

You will adjust to the taste. Some people like it right away, but most of us had to adjust. You'll find some of the products taste better than others to you, too.

Remember your own signature:Confucius "Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it"
That can apply to oatmeal too. No one ever said you will like everything Medifast makes but I have an idea that you will eventually come to enjoy some items more than others. The stuff you don't like, just don't order. You can also try to trade on the board too if you find yourself stuck with something you can't tolerate. Before Medifast, I didn't deny myself many tasty foods-hence the reason I needed Medifast. I will not be eating Medifast meals the rest of my life, there will be a time when I taper off. No one ever said it would be the Ritz-Carlton. They promised nutritional supplements and a lean and green meal of my choice everyday that would allow me to lose 2-5 pounds a week if I followed directions. What a promise! I can hit the Ritz-Carlton again in a few months, just be very smart about my choices, another thing this program will help me do.

Very true, Biki. Although they also don't promise 2-5 pounds a week. That is the average; which means some people lose more and some lose less.

I wouldn't judge all the foods until you have tried them. My least favorite is the oatmeal. However, I like almost everything else. You can add extra flavoring to any of the foods. Experiment...add extracts, spices or sugar free flavored syrups. You will find what suits you and just don't order the rest.

Here to eat me words

Well now after 18 days of the program, I've become used to the taste. Somethings I like better than others and some things need a little spicing up but my taste have changed!

honestly,

Yes, they do. Especially with the food on the program too. I have found that I tire of certain things and then have them later... and enjoy them again. I never tire of the caramel nut bar or the choc RTD though.

I've lost a lot of weight on medifast (granted, I've now gained most of it back), and honestly, I can't say that I LIKE the taste of anything. I can live with it though.

The hot cocoa is the only product that I would actually eat/drink and enjoy if I wasn't on the plan (other than the soy crisps, which aren't really a meal).

Hey there Manly... just wondering, do you need your club updated?

I'm sure I do, but I'm not weighing for six months...so I have no idea how much I weigh currently (or how much I will lose prior to June).

I also only got used to the taste, but I never actually LIKED it much. Which is why I don't eat any of the products anymore (including the soy crisps, actually; I liked them, but now that I've had regular ones, I don't care for them anymore).

I never ordered the soy crisps while on Medifast. A few weeks ago I got some at the organic store. I had a few, okay more than a few, but it was a small bag-and handed them to my husband and said "Take these away from me!" They were just so good and unlike any food I had eaten in over a year. I could see an addiction coming on. I hate those foods where they put two servings in a bag. As if!

I'm actually a fan of the medifast soy chips over most brands. Definitely over Genisoy.

Stacy's however, is the best tasting soy chips ever made. The last time on the plan, I packaged them individually since they were almost identical to the medifast ones. The only problem now is that I don't have a store close by that sells them. It may not be a bad thing though, because the sweet bbq flavor is addictive.

I like the white cheddar soy crisps, and the veggie crackers too. I can't order them anymore because i don't trust myself with them. :(

My new favs are the oatmeals - most likely because of the blustery and wet weather here in Northern Calfornia.

I can not order the soy crisps because I eat them twice a day for snacks and then want more still :x :table: . I stay away from the food I know I am weak with.

regards,
joy
