Shopping for Clothes

Postby iwontplaythefoolnemore » March 29th, 2006, 3:08 pm

So, I went clothes shopping today for the first time since starting Medifast. When I started back in January, I was wearing a 26 in bottoms. 24 in tops. I had one pair of 24s that fit, but I always had a roll from my stomach hanging over the top. Well, my 24s have been loose lately, but I figured it might just be the brand of jeans. The sizes for Zanadi jeans always seem to run just a tad bit bigger.

Well, today I was actually able to fit into 22s! I'm so excited. I know it's still a big size, but I haven't worn 22s in almost 4 years. Shopping was actually an enjoyable experience for me today. I wasn't afraid to look at myself in the mirror. I actually thought I looked good in the clothes I tried on. And I realized how wearing my old (now baggy) clothes is making me look bigger.

I just had to share. Thanks for reading!!

Congratulations!!!

That is soooo awesome. Doesn't it feel great to get into sizes you haven't seen in years??? Bu don't get too comfortable in those 22's, they'll be falling off you in no time.

I've been doing a lot of shopping lately in my spare closet where my thinner sizes live. I love it!!!

Congratulations!!! Isn't it an awesome feeling to be shrinking?? Good for you.

I have the same thing... I officially don't fit into any of my size 16's..regardless of brand. So I have a dilema. I only have 2 14's pants plenty of shirts...and then nothing until my 11's from the late 80's early 90's and quite frankly they're all out of style and small thanks to vanity sizing..... I don't want to spend a ton of money on new clothes, so I'm going to Goodwill and see if I can find something there. I just bought the majority of my 16's within the last year. It's good though, I'll trade in my bigger clothes for smaller anytime.

CRYS;

How exciting to be fitting into smaller sizes in such a short time. The smaller you get the more exciting it will be and inspiring to us.

We are celebrating with you.

Don't spend TOO much on the new clothes. They won't fit you for long!!

Thanks, everyone!

Fluffy,

I am in the same boat. I got rid of most of my old clothes last year. I wish I had kept them. I've been going around looking for bargains.

Hi

Postby dede4wd » March 30th, 2006, 7:31 pm

I am between sizes right now too. I can fit into most of my 16's, but not all. I'm shopping while I'm shrinking at Goodwill and Savers. I'm not going to spend much money until I'm at my goal! Even then, I won't spend much!

I do agree that wearing some of the old baggy stuff makes me look bigger, I'm almost ready to get rid of my security blanket (the sweatshirt I tie around my waist...because I'm cold). It's not because I'm cold, it's an A#& hider. What I realized recently is that my A#* hider is bigger than my A#* is! I'm weaning myself off it!

Congradulations! I think smaller clothes make you feel better than anything, its proof that it is really happening. I found a few "old" things in my chest of drawers just yesterday I can't wait to get into.
