Well, here goes nothing. I decided to share, as I finally got a decent picture after dropping 40lbs.

My BEFORE picture was taken in April '04 so it is a little dated. But it myself, my husband and my 2 little girls.



My AFTER picture is just me and hubby, taken this past weekend at my cousin's wedding. I feel much better and hubby (who is also MFasting) has lost 21lbs, and looks great IMO.



For good meaure I figured I better add the girls in since they have changed somewhat since that April photo. This is my 2 girls, who were flower girls at the wedding. My oldest is 4.5 and my youngest will turn 3 years old tomorrow.

WOW Sheila! You and your husband look wonderful! Good for you guys! It must be much easier planning meals and such with both of you doing MF. And your girls are absolutely beautiful! Keep up the great work!

All i can say is WOW!!!!!! what a difference 40# makes in your pictures.. your children are sooo beautiful..you have a very handsome family there..I can even see a difference in your husbands picture.. It does help when both partners are doing Mf together.. my hubby has already met his goal weight and maintaining very well.. I on the other hand have 77 more pounds to go BUt will do it just as you will.. Both of you keep up the good work-- and thanks for posting your pictures--martha

Wow! It's hard to believe this is only 40 lbs. I have lost 60 and the difference is not nearly so dramatic. Your gorgeous face has emerged and you should be very proud, and proud of that beautiful family too. Horsey Girl

Thanks everyone! You all are so sweet. And Horsey Girl, it's funny you mention my face because that is where (ironically) I always see weight loss first! My body changes, of course, but it is the face that I can see change with each 5lbs gone!

I was just thinking between the 2 of us, we've lost over 60lbs. WOW!

Anyway, thanks again for all your nice comments, it is nice to finally share and be well-received.

Sheila, you are beautiful! And your husband is soooo handsome! You two make such a good-looking couple in that picture from the wedding -- no wonder your kids are so cute, with such parents!

WOWSER - Sheila!!! You are beautiful & so are your little girls!! Are you sure you've only lost 40 pounds???? I've lost almost 40 pounds and my before & after pictures don't show as much of a change as yours!! You should be a spokesperson for Medifast - or at least be on one of their commercials!! Congratulations on your new emerging self!! You just look absolutely FANTABULOUS!!! What an inspiration you are for ALL of us!!

And how neat that your dear hubby is doing it with you....I love reading about all you couples that are doing it together. I wish I could get mine interested enough to try it...he could easily lose about 75 pounds - but he won't even consider it.

Well - keep up the good work....how much more do you have before goal anyway? I just can't stop saying how great you look!!

OH MY GOSH YOU'RE A BLONDE BOMB SHELL!! I mean SERIOUSLY that is AMAZING!!! I always get excited to see everyone's pictures and then I get even more anxious to see the after photos.......but my goodness the transformation is down right magical. Your angel babies make me long to see my Goddaughter who is FINALLY in the United States now. I could just eat them up with a spoon hehe I guess that kind of SUGAR wouldn't be on my plan though

Congratulations to both you AND your husband.......MF should do a magazine and have your family on the cover!! GORGEOUS!!

Sheila, Thank you for posting those wonderful pictures. You look absolutely, positively, gorgeous. Your husband as well. You do look like you've lost more than 40 lbs . And your little angels, are so beautiful. What a good looking family . Keep up the good work. What an encouragement to us all.

To answer the question about the "just" 40lbs. Yes, since I started MF I've lost 40lbs, however, shortly after the BEFORE picture was snapped, I joined my local Curves. I began working out in April 04, (again around the same time that picture was snapped!) And from April to December 04, I did lose about 24lbs doing the South Beach Diet. However from Dec. 04 to April 05, I regained about 20lbs. So the picture you see above in the BEFORE actually was before I started working out 3 days a week for a year. And it does include the 4 extra lbs that I carried before I did the lose/gain thing.

Does this make any sense? LOL! So I guess what I'm saying is the before picture and the after picture would be a total weight loss of 44lbs AND a year PLUS of working out!!!
