Shakes

Postby Patty » June 12th, 2007, 3:37 am

I have a million questions as I enter into my first day

RE: the shakes - do you all feel the best way is in a blender? I am packing my things for the day for work and I didn't know if mixing up a shake and then packing it in a freezer bag (in a bottle of course!) would be ideal or is it something I should save for at home when I can use the blender? No one at work will know - it is a new job situation with mainly girls who are in their 20's and size 0's! So I am keeping this all to myself 8)

Thanks so much! Hopefully as the day(s) go on, I can find my answers here on the site or make one post with several questions!

I am very low maintenance when it comes to MF. If I don't have any RTD's I take some water, a shaker cup jar and mix on the spot. No ice, no blenders.

I pack my "lunch " every morning. I mix up all my meals at home. Oatmeal and soup I leave in the shaker jar. I heat them up at work in a coffee mug. My shakes I pack in one of the glasses from my Magic Bullet. I have a couple of freezer packs that I toss in the bag... I am set for the day.

OK – thanks so much! I will need to get some of the RTD I think  but do have a few boxes of the dry so I will try both ways – at home and on the go! I just had a hot cocoa and it was great! :)

Your welcome. :D I like the RTD shakes for when I know I will be in the car ,or on the run all day. I toss a couple in my cooler bag with an ice pack...

You make me so glad to be a SAHB! Although I am somewhat envious of those with a busy life! I just have to walk a few feet to the kitchen and I am set.

Patty,
One of the easiest ways I have found is drinking half a bottle of water and then putting the powder in the bottle, shaking it up, and drinking it. No need for a blender with it. Only time I use the blender is when I make them with ice. This is simple and easy, and I always have bottles of water with me.
RTD's are of course even easier.... so eventually, you will have that.

With soups, all you need is some water, a small shaker cup, and a microwave (just be careful of boiling over).

Enjoy. 8)
