Shakes (Clarification PLEASSSEEEE!!)

Postby slowly losing » March 31st, 2006, 4:36 pm

Hi Everybody!

I need help. Can someone explain to me why we are required to have a minimum of 3 shakes a day and not a variety of meals? I am constantly running out of shakes and my meals are piling up. I can not eat them fast enough!
Am I doing something wrong? :?

That is an old, old rule. You can have any of the meals now, with the only restriction being no more than one bar a day.

Thanks. But is it true that the skakes are less carbs and calories?

Yes, it's true the shakes are lower in carbs and calories, but not by much. Each shake is 90 calories...the chili for instance is 110...it's only a 20 cal difference...so if you got in the mood for chili and had 5 of them in one day, you are only increasing your calorie intake by 100 cals for the entire day.

Shakes

Postby Jan » March 31st, 2006, 7:19 pm

Hi There,
We used to be required to have three shakes each day and then two other products. It was thought that this made our weight loss the quickest. Plus, we got a little more soy that way and soy is a natural appetite suppressant. However, after studying the whole situation it was determined that people lost even when they had no shakes each day and only ate MF chocolate pudding. So go ahead and eat up your other products. So far we still can only have one bar a day and I don't think that rule is going to change!

SlowlyLosing ... You are not doing anything wrong. Just like everyone stated, you can have any combo of MF meals except for only one bar per day. If you weight loss has slowed it could be for many reasons. How are you doing?

I have gotten myself into a routine of having 2 shakes a day, one soup, peach oatmeal and of course a one bar (peanut butter or Smores granola) every day.

I lost 50lbs in 12 weeks doing that. So enjoy :eat: the variety!!!

Isn't Medifast GREAT!!!!
