3 shakes before 2:00 p.m.?

Postby ment2b » April 30th, 2006, 9:03 am

I thought I read something about having 3 shakes before 2:00 p.m. Is this somewhere in the Quick Start that I missed? If this is the case, when do you eat your oatmeal? :?:

Hi Ment2b-- It's still important to get 3 Medifast's in by 2:00 pm (unless of course you work graveyard or something & are sleeping in the daytime & awake at night!) each day, but they don't have to be 3 shakes. i like to do 3 shakes, then a bar, then lean & green, then a pudding. Once in awhile i replace my early shake with an oatmeal, or my 3rd MF of the day with an oatmeal. 8) If you have a daily bar, it's best not to have the bar first or last, so put it somewhere in between when you can.

Why is this important? I never get three medifast meals in before 2:00 beause I tend to stay up rather late at night. On weekends, I usually get up at around 12 or so, and don't have my second meal until 3:00.

On weekdays, I usually have my third meal at 3:00.

I was wondering the same thing. I have my first shake at 9:30am, then I have my lean and green at 12:30 and another shake at 3:30 etc. Please let me know if I need to change things.

i think it's fine to alter because we all have different schedules. we should never go more than 4 hours without eating. my guess is that they figure most people start the day around 7, should have their first meal by 8, another at 11, then a third by 2. probably just to make sure you can get all 5 in during the day & not have to squeeze them all too close together in the late afternoon along with your lean & green.

I actually found out from my HA that it DOESN'T matter what you eat when (except for the 1 bar thing). Just space your meals....thats most important
