I just love how this physical fitness craze has hit the board! I am afraid of bikes (bad acccident) but should be jogging as soon as I can get a bra that holds the twins down and fits everywhere else. The Enelle lady said she should be mailing me out two samples today. If one fits, I can keep it and just send back the other one. If not back, to the drawing board. So cross your fingers for my boobage support!

Hi Jo,

I'm curious to know what model bike you got. I am the worst consumer when it comes to any purchase that isn't clothing. I take forever to make up my mind because I'm not sure if it's the right one. I'd like to get something this week since I only have maybe 2.5 months left of nice weather (that might be a little pessimistic). Hope you're enjoying your new bike and your new care :) Oh, and hope the water retention problem is solved soon.

Are you still doing the c25k?

Have a great day :)

4.5 miles on the bike, 1 mile walk/jog, more jogging than walking. Must remember to take water.

Hi there miss inspiration. My new bike is a 16.5" Trek Navigator 3.0. I'm no expert on bikes, but the bike place made it easy. They ask you what kind of biking you'll be doing and then show you the bikes that will work for you. Of course, I told him that I was interested in riding mostly on the road and on rails-to-trails.....no big inclines. Yeah, I'm still working on the c25k, but not exactly by the book. I've been riding my bike to the track. I'm not really timing the running, I'm going by the marks on the track and increasing the distance that I run a little each time.

Bebes, I would not consider what I'm doing as part of the craze. I've done this many, many times before and fizzled out within a month or so, so until I prove to myself that I'll stick to it, I'm not including myself in the the same group as the amazing dogma, queenie, Lauren, bebes, Liz and more.

Thanks for the info, Jo. It sounds like you are doing great! I looked up your bike and it is too cute. I saw one in the window of a bike shop today. I might have to go check it out tomorrow. Keep up the great work :)

It's the WS model. I looked it up at the Trek website. It has little flowers on it that you can't see.

Jo, you are totally exercising! I am all verklempt! :-) Does it sound patronizing to tell you I'm proud of you? Because I really, truly, sincerely, unequivocally, want you to know that you are rocking! And don't let us mannic exercisers here take away from the success and strides you have made. It wasn't too long ago that you said your exercise consisted of rocking the chair while knitting! :-)

Any activity that you can incorporate into your day will show great returns, both in energy and in health. And when you actively exercise - getting your heart rate up, and GASP, actually breaking a sweat, you will see significant changes in your body, too. What could be better?

And don't say that crap about having a history of fizzling out after a month, because this whole MF experience has been a new one with new successes, new achievements, and and a whole new maintenance experience. This time's different, Jo, don't look backwards - or you'll fall off the bike!

Jo, I'm proud of you, too (and not in a patronizing way)!! And of COURSE you can stick with it. If you can stick with your healthy eating all this time, you can do this, too.

And I want a bike now!!! Except it took me so long to learn to ride when I was a kid, and then I didn't do it very much or very long. I'm afraid that despite the old saying, I won't be able to. Maybe when I'm in Denver, my friend will let me try hers out to see if I can ride it without falling over. Although I'm so afraid of riding near cars, I'm not sure it would be worth it.

Jo, I'm in love with your bike! I have a maroon bike, with wide white sidewall fat tires, a huge black seat and shiny chrome fenders.....I got it from DH & kids on my 30th birthday (21 years ago). We moved out into the country and there is no where safe to ride it out here, so it has just sat for all these years. Sad.

I'm happy for you that you've begun exercising!

Only thing missing in the bike picture is JO sitting on it!
But we do totally believe you when you say you're riding it!
:biker: Helmets off to you, JO!

Hey, look at that! All the exersize obsessed have showed up to urge me on! I feel honored. Thanks ladies. I will never be you guys, but at least I'm moving. Let's put it this way. If I do become one of the obsessed, it will be a miracle that you all will have witnessed and I think that helps to qualify all of you for the sainthood.

I took a break yesterday because my muscles were aching, but I feel good today. I'll be out there tonight right after work.

I'm just going to put this here as a reminder to myself: It does feel good to exercise. When a person isn't exercising, they forget how good it does feel and it just seems like such a chore to start.

Hmmmm, I've suggested that I could be a Jewish nun before. Now I can be the first Jewish saint, too? (Well, with Lauren.)

Mary was a Jew and is a saint.
