Mornin' peeps. I have a full day planned. No nothing fun, it's a work day here. I'm continuing to restock my kitchen, it's laundry day, and I need to wash windows, ugh! I kind of let that go while the workers were here and we are at the urgent stage on the windows. I don't mind doing them, though. We have lots of huge windows, but I have a good squeegie.....and I love it when my windows sparkle.
We went to Pittsburgh yesterday to pick out fabric for our living room furniture. I believe it was the worst 3 hours of my life. We went through every single book in the store and couldn't agree on fabric. Of course, my choices were all perfect and Mark's were all wrong. We finally compromised, but girls, you need a really good marriage to go through that exercise! At one point, in hubby's defense, he said "ok, I give up, you get what you like". I just couldn't do it. I couldn't ask him to fork out all that money for something he's going to have to live with if he doesn't love it, too. My friends talk about their husbands being so passive when it comes to decorating......no such luck here. We didn't fight about it and we did finally compromise, but we were both emotionally drained for the rest of the day.
Went to a party last night. I noticed one of my friends had lost alot of weight and told her she looked good. She proceeded to tell me that she lost weight because of me. She and her husband had come to our Christmas open house last year and she decided then that she would take my example and lose the weight once and for all. She said that she found out what I did and got Medifast. She lost 45 pounds and looks great! I told her she could have called me, but she said it was a very personal thing and she felt better keeping to herself about it. This woman lives 2 blocks from me!
Anyway.......she has started running. She ran 7 miles yesterday. I told her that if I was the inspiration for her losing weight, I would use her as my inspiration to get off my butt and exercise more. Fair enough, right?
Have a great day everyone and think of my slaving while you're out having fun.
