Mornin' peeps. I have a full day planned. No nothing fun, it's a work day here. I'm continuing to restock my kitchen, it's laundry day, and I need to wash windows, ugh! I kind of let that go while the workers were here and we are at the urgent stage on the windows. I don't mind doing them, though. We have lots of huge windows, but I have a good squeegie.....and I love it when my windows sparkle.

We went to Pittsburgh yesterday to pick out fabric for our living room furniture. I believe it was the worst 3 hours of my life. We went through every single book in the store and couldn't agree on fabric. Of course, my choices were all perfect and Mark's were all wrong. We finally compromised, but girls, you need a really good marriage to go through that exercise! At one point, in hubby's defense, he said "ok, I give up, you get what you like". I just couldn't do it. I couldn't ask him to fork out all that money for something he's going to have to live with if he doesn't love it, too. My friends talk about their husbands being so passive when it comes to decorating......no such luck here. We didn't fight about it and we did finally compromise, but we were both emotionally drained for the rest of the day.

Went to a party last night. I noticed one of my friends had lost alot of weight and told her she looked good. She proceeded to tell me that she lost weight because of me. She and her husband had come to our Christmas open house last year and she decided then that she would take my example and lose the weight once and for all. She said that she found out what I did and got Medifast. She lost 45 pounds and looks great! I told her she could have called me, but she said it was a very personal thing and she felt better keeping to herself about it. This woman lives 2 blocks from me!

Anyway.......she has started running. She ran 7 miles yesterday. I told her that if I was the inspiration for her losing weight, I would use her as my inspiration to get off my butt and exercise more. Fair enough, right?

Have a great day everyone and think of my slaving while you're out having fun.

What a neat experience! You are inspiring people all over the place. Is it just me or is the cosmos sending us the message RUN RUN RUN from every angle? It wasn't like this 6 months ago. We have just had some really inspiring athletic types join the board and it is like a forest fire!!! (Not that Robin isn't inspiring but I just tried to consider her an anomaly. ) I feel like a couch potato for only walking 2-3 miles a day. I promise that as soon as I get around to ordering that custom sports bra I am going to add some jogging into my walks. My poor back is already complaining at the thought!

What a great story about your friend, JO. Just popped in for a minute and can't stay.
Your deal about the fabric...I think my Bill pretty much starts out like Mark did. "You always do what you want..." But he really doesn't seem to mind.
He pretty much lets me make the final decision, but I want him to like it too, and try to compromise on big things.
Enjoyed your post!

Jo, how wonderful that your friend started improving her health because of your success and inspiration. Your story of weight loss is part of what got me excited about the idea that I 'really' could get this weight off. I wonder how many other's you've inspired and don't know about it.

I walked 1 mile yesterday along with using a string trimmer to tidy up the yard for about 60-90 minutes. I was beat but I did think of all of you who exercise when I was coming back up the driveway. :) Thinking it was time I joined the 'exercisers' ranks.

Good Morning, Oh-she-of -the-tiara! I am finally out of bed at a reasonable hour. Went to bed early because I was just tired all day yesterday. I didn't like the waking up at 2:20am and being wide awake but I was able to get back to bed. Have a special day!

Your weight loss, and Nancy's, made my decision to start Medifast very easy. After I saw the before and after pictures I decided that I didn't need lap-band surgery. Just wanted you to know how inspiring you are to me and others.

Obviously not yet..........

Everyone had better start pouring on the guilt trip in this journal.....how dare she leave us to fend for ourselves for this long? And look what she's doing to poor Biki (Biki, quick, lay down and fan yourself---a case of the vapors).............tsk! tsk! tsk!

Alright people, don't panic. I was away for one whole day! You should consider it practice for my upcoming 2 week vacation. What will you do then? (Hey, it's nice to feel needed, though)

My son's here from NYC and I just haven't had time between work and visiting to come here and hang out. It used to be that I could go to work and have the forum up all day to check on, but until I get a bit more caught up, I can't have the distraction. It feels like tax season here when July and August should be easy months. :x

Sooooooo, I'm behind in reading here. I'm counting on you to let me know if I'm missing any fun, hehe. And I'm counting on you and others to give the tough love for awhile. Just be aware that I'm watching you, wearing my tiara because I can't seem to give it away, hehe.

I am wounded that you are trying to give away the lovely tiara I got for you. You are the picture of refinement in it! You can carry it off in regular clothing, a problem even beauty queens encounter. Sniff.

Ohhhh, don't get my wrong. I love my tiara. It's on my night stand right now so that I can see it when I wake up in the morning......well, really, it's there because that's where I threw it when I unpacked.....but I'm just sayin.

Have you had enough coffee this morning? Have some more. :|
