Heh. I was going to suggest that, actually. You might want to set up some ground rules for her.

Then again, I was on Atkins on my first cruise. I lost 3 pounds that week and didn't even stick to it most of the time. But I took a LOT of stairs and did a lot of walking and more-physical excursions like snorkeling.

Hey, T! I just had a thought! Would you mind babysitting my inner brat while I'm gone? You're so good at babysitting.....and she really is sweet.....she love sweets, I mean, hehe... Yeah, I'll just leave her with you and try to remember to pick her up on the way back, but don't worry if I don't....she can just stay with you until she grows up.

wise words on condiments

Postby Joy » July 9th, 2007, 3:30 pm

Thanks for visiting my journal and providing me with the wise words on Basalmic vinegar. I am how tricky it could be and I am sticking mostly with red wine vinegar now!

My plan is better...I go along and babysit the 'inner brat", moniter your food, turn down your bed, clean up your mess.
Can't beat that with a stick! :whip:

Don't panic, Liz. It's just that some balsamic vinegar has lots of carbs. I had some once that was 6 carbs in 1 tbl! They aren't all that bad. Just check your labels.

I'm still here, bebes. Sorry about being so quiet lately.

Today is my first jo day in more than a month! Hair, nails, peds, shopping for a funky sofa for my new kitchen.....I know sounds odd to put a sofa in a kitchen, but there's a place for it. Pictures to follow in the next few weeks. I never knew it would be so hard to do without a kitchen! Even a drink of ice water is a chore:

1. Get glass out of box in guest room.
2. Take it to the kitchen to get ice.
3. Back to the bathroom or to the laundry room to fill with water.

At least I'm getting exercise, hehe.

On the weight front, things are going well, scale-wise, but my head is just exploding. I'm maintaining my weight, but something has happened in my brain lately. The fear of regaining has taken over for the last few days. I'm feeling fat and that's not a good place to be, I know. Hopefully, today will be an attitude adjustment day for me.

I'm definately gonna get that book you're reading, Robin. It might just be timely for me. I need to join the thin club and get out of the "I lost all this weight, so whats next, regain it all?" club.

Ha. I was just about to suggest it, Jo. You'll have to wait another week till it's out, but it might help. You are NOT fat, and you're not going to GET fat if you continue what you've been doing. But believe me, I understand the feelings. But I'm guessing some of it is because your routine has been so disrupted lately. I hope you feel better again as things settle down and you get back into your normal eating routine.

Seems like you've been gone forever, JO!
I've been looking far and wide for you, so glad you came back!
Things will be back to normal one of these days, and you'll be your spunky self again.
BTW, I'm getting that book, too. No taking chances for me!
