Hi Jo,
Have you tried to call Biki?
Thought maybe you had her number.

Holly, see note in Biki's journal. Jo talked to Paul; Biki's OK, but no one knows when she'll be back. Soon, I hope.

And now back to Jo's regularly scheduled journal ...

Hey Jo: I went out to one of the outlet malls by us because they opened a new section that I had yet to check out. I thought of you when I saw Coldwater - I remembered you saying it was one of your favorite stores. I went in to check it out - but didn't see too much - but then again I need to be on a mission in order to find something I want. My mission today was new sun glasses - mine broke. Didn't find them at the mall - Kohls helped me in that department.

Hi Suz,

Yep, I do like Coldwater Creek. It's a good place to get work clothes....there and Ann Taylor. My comfort clothes lean more toward Liz Claiborne, Jjill, Chicos, and Ann Taylor Loft. I spent alot of time at Kohls while losing weight, though, because the prices were better for transition stuff.

I'm a little sad when I talk about clothes shopping right now. Seems I don't really need anything, so no reason to go. This week I'll cheer myself up by going to the State College Arts Festival. I need an artsy fartsy clock for my new kitchen.

We finally booked our next vacation and I'm completely psyched! Cruising from Mexico to Hawaii. Who needs transatlantic? I've never been to Hawaii, so I'm really looking forward to it. This year will be a challange compared to last. Last year there was no question.....compliance all the way. This year I'll need to make smart choices.....OMG! It's gonna be tough!

Jo, your cruise sounds like a neat one. I've never heard anyone say they've done that cruise. How long does it take to cruise from Mexico to Hawaii? Will you be cruising back to Mexico or do the 'cruisers' fly back to the states?

Jo - your cruise sounds wonderful. My stomach kind of gets in knots thinking about maintanance and this being a life long journey. I hope I can do as good of job as you, Lizabette and Robin. You guys have been a great example for all us - I just hope I can measure up to it.

Jo,
You are absolutely going to love Hawaii. I have been to Maui twice. Where are you docking. It is the place to be, when you need to relax. The people over there are just wonderful.

Hey Jo,

Your cruise sounds wonderful. Is there a weight restriction on your luggage? Do you think they would notice a 214 pound stowaway?

Pinks, We're going in the middle of Sept. I love cruising, too. You don't mess around! 3 booked at once.....and I thought I was bad, lol.

T, I hadn't heard of this cruise either. It starts in Mexico, but we return from Hawaii. I'm not sure how far it is, but there are 4 full cruise days to get there. In all it's a 12 day cruise.....our longest so far.

Suz, I just hope I can measure up during this trip.

Katie, We do stop in Maui and there are 3 other stops.....ending in Honolulu.....not sure of the others.

queen, You have 2 months to get down to luggage weight, hehe. At least I'll have more room in my luggage this time. Last time, I packed 2 cases of RTD's!

My husband has always wanted to go to Hawaii, and take a cruise - this sounds like a good combination! And I've wanted to travel cross-country on a train, so we can do that to get to Mexico maybe. This will be a retirement venture I imagine as all that traveling would take his entire month's worth of vacation!!

I know you can make it through this cruise just fine. I've heard there are a wealth of choices and that has to mean that among them there are healthy choices to make. You did it compliant - it may not be easier now that you're maintaining but it doesn't have to be harder, either, does it? You know what to do!

Yep, nickie, I do know what to do. However, I'll be fighting with my inner brat the whole time. :whip:

Yeah, it's easier when you have no choices, you know? When all those goodies just aren't even an option. They're a lot easier to pass up when you know you can't have 'em. The challenge is when you have a little leeway and CAN have a little bit.

Yeah, Robin. I think I may need to do all of the fighting with the inner brat pre-trip so that she knows the rules before we get there, hehe.
