Well, I'm on my merry way to a happier place. 2.5 more pesky pounds are history. I was really beating myself up yesterday about being a few pounds over my goal weight until I realized that my plan is in action and it's working! My plan was to weigh every day and if the scale started to inch up, go right back to what I know works. This has been my first real test and I'm so happy to say that it's working. Yes, the temptation is there. I would say it's harder, but as long as I stay focused on what I want most, it will be fine. I'm not ready to say mission accomplished, yet, but I'm getting there.

Jo, sorry this happened to you but it has been wonderful of you to share it with us. So much valuable knowledge in realizing that the battle will not ever be completely over, that we need to expect skirmishes to happen and temptations to go back to our old ways of overeating will occur. But you are showing us, training us, on how to get back to where we want to be and with time, practice I hope I'll be able to get back on track as you have done.

Thank you for sharing your struggles with us.

Jo - you really are the queen of MF and are such a great role model for those of that have yet to reach goal. I love reading from your journal and Lizabette's because it gives me the inside scoop of what maintanence will be all about. I love your mentality about nipping this in the bud right at the onset. That is sound advice for everyone thinking of maintanence. Thanks Jo!!

That is her subtle way of encouraging me to create a picture of her with a tiara...

Jo, Thanks for visiting my journal yesterday and offering words of encouragement. After looking thru your journal I am so amazed at what you have accomplished; what an inspiration you are! I'm patiently waiting for my medifast meals and hope to start next week. I'm certainly going to keep reading your journal and pick up every tip I can. Good job!

Jo, I have to say you have truly been the bulk of my inspiration. Your journal was the first one I read when I first starting comming to this site. You were the one that really made me think, I can do this. Thank you, and wear your tiara proudly.

Ok, so I made it to bikiland. What a beautiful city! We've seen most of the major sights, sans the museums because we just haven't had time. Ended up at Union Station on Friday and actually saw the Starbucks, but no biki sighting, yet. When I heard that there were 385 Starbucks in Washington DC, I decided to make it my mission to visit every one until I meet up with a purple haired much better than average looking diva drinking what may or may not be sweet tea wearing a new hat and in bare feet standing around waiting for a pair of purple socks. Have you seen anyone like that around here lately?

Oh, and I need to tell you the other exciting points about my trip so far aside from the Starbucks at Union Station:

1. I sat in the booth where JFK proposed to Jackie.

2. Used the restroom in the bar where Bill Clinton hung out while in college. (This may or may not be a political statement, hehe)

3. Was involved in a taxi accident 1 block from the white house....not my drivers fault. The secret service was there before the sound of the crash was done! One SS car and a whole bunch of uniformed SS on bicycles. We had to wait around until they sorted things out and came to the conclusion that it wasn't a terrorist attack.

We still haven't seen anyone famous if you don't count the statues.
