Sojo I too can see your smiley faces.

Hey Jo: I know I have told you this before but I too found somebody on the forum that followed the program and reached their goal and I have tried to mirror myself to that person.....YOU!! I read your journal and you gave me the strength to continue when I thought I couldn't those first couple of weeks. I am afraid to veer off program - I know they have the new guide out there that does allow for some fats - it makes sense. Maybe little by little I will incorporate those things into my diet - but I will need to see how my body reacts to them first.

When I was sick last week I was really bummed about not being able to stay on plan and was very scared that I would not be able to get myself back on program - I'm sure you have all been there. But it was so easy to jump back on the band wagon on Monday. I have completed the first three days without any side affects and am actually so excited to be back on plan.

Thanks Jo for your encouragement and for sharing your journey with us. We truly appreciate all your advice. I am also beginning to hear you through Biki - she's beginning to sound more and more like you- patience, patience, patience, water, water, water... :D And I mean that as a compliment.

Hi suzy, Thank you for that post. It's really nice to know that somehow I can give back some of the things I've received along the way. Just promise me you will only copy the positive things.....I mean, I don't exercise enough, sometimes I don't drink enough water, I drink too much coffee.

I just had a profound thought! Stick to the program like I do, drink water like biki does, exercise like Robin and lauren and you'll be the perfect Medifaster! :D

Biki has learned patience and I may helped her to get started at it, but she's amazing in her own right. Being compliant gives one strength to be patient. It takes time. You have a great start, suze. I'm excited to watch your progress!

Hi, Jo. I just wanted to stop by and say that I have really appreciated your comments in your own journal, in mine, and in others. You know, I think that sometimes it's easy for a lot of "us" to think that you have everything completely together -- and, by all means, it seems that you do. But, I know that the reality of it is that you are also working your own journey out still, too -- since it is lifelong for each of us. And, you express such an amazing sense of strength and clarity while you do this -- you know exactly what is right for you, and you live that !!

Something that you recently wrote that just kind of hit me, is that you were happy to return from Jamaica and be back to your MF comfort food. It made me realize that MF has actually become my own comfort food, too (of course, for me, I want to have issues with having comfort food at all ... LOL ... but, I will take that over my other options for now). This was a pivotal realization for me, actually, and is helping me to get back on track.

Thanks !

hehe, sojo renee. You're so cute and clever.

For anyone who's interested. I have not sent any nasty PM's to anyone. It's been mentioned and I thought you might be wondering if it's me. I have remained civil throughout this matter.

It didn't even occur to me that it would be your style to send a nasty pm...

Sojo on the other hand...well, there's no accounting for her! :-)

Well, there was never any doubt about that, girl.
Not that I'm cute and clever (heehee), but about your civility. In fact, I have really appreciated the civility and humor you use when there are differences of opinion being expressed. You state your opinion firmly, but not heavy-handedly, and when people get that defensive it's due to their own issues. I was actually very surprised by the turn of events, because--from my viewpoint--it was all handled well. Scratch that, I didn't even know there was an "it" to be handled. All of a sudden, the banning and screaming began. What the??? Yup, it could've just as easily been me who was targeted or anyone else with a different opinion, I guess...

Soldier on, girlie!

I'm bothered by the fact that someone would send nasty PMs to anyone else. To sneak around behind the scenes and hurt others is just rotten and despicable (to me). :?

Disagreements and differences of opinion happen....tempers flare at times, but there is very few times when personal attacks are appropriate and even rarer when writing or sending a nasty gram should enter anyone's mind. That is just my opinion, of course.....

Jo, you don't strike me as a person who would stoop to sending a nasty gram......you've got courage to state your convictions out in the open and are not afraid to mention when you disagree with someone....so I never considered that it could have been you.

Of course, we don't know what constitutes "nasty" in this case. Maybe the recipient is overly sensitive? It's hard to know. (And no, I didn't send anything.)

On another subject, Jo, I thought I'd answer you here as well as in my journal. As much as I'd love to go back to the 5-1 for a while, my concern is I'd have to give up (or at least drastically scale back) my workouts while doing it. And I'm just not willing to do that - and I can't accept that that's the best solution. So I'm going to have just keep struggling to figure out what DOES work.
