Jo, what a nice invitation! I wish I could take you up on it. No, I'm pretty far away from DC although my husband and I visited there in July of 2005. I loved getting to walk around the mall and visit all of the Smithsonian museums and all of the places within the mall area. Biki must live somewhat near the mall as I remember a photo of her dog that she shared with the capitol building in the photo. I bet the mall area is beautiful in the spring.

134 today.

There will be socks for anyone who attends, but they won't be purple and they won't have tinkle bells on them.

133 today.

Had a really productive day at work yesterday. Minimal interuptions, minimal roadblocks. Another one like it today would be good. One more month of this and I'm home free....sort of.

It happens every year. I get so busy at work that my social life suffers. I don't play bridge or 500. I miss my gossip network, man! My girlfriends get used to me being absent, but I never do. The forum is like that, too. I feel a little disconnected because I don't have time to read ever single post or respond as much as I'd like. I'm trusting that if I miss anything big, someone will fill me in, lol.....cuz you all know I like to give my humble opinion.

Hope everyone has a great, compliant day.

Hi Jo! It always is a boost to my morning when I see that you've updated your journal! :) I hope today turns out to be a good one for you. I miss seeing your usual number of posts, but know you are really busy right now---

Just wanted you to know you're being missed.

Congratulations on the great weigh-in!

133 today.

Finally got a minute to take a coffee break and my kawfee buddy is nowhere to be seen. :( I won't even try to describe work, except to say that I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

On the MF front: I'm noticing something interesting at weigh time each morning. I have weighed the same within a pound or two for about a month, but I can't gain confidence in that number. Each morning when I step on the scale, I start it at 136 which is a pound over my goal and I'm always surprised that I don't tip the scale at that weight. Then I slowly inch downward expecting to at least be more than yesterday, but for days and days now, I've stayed at 133. It's not that I'm overeating at all, in which case, I would have a reason to feel this way. It's more lack of confidence or unwillingness to accept that I am nicely controlling my maintenance program. I'm waiting for the other ball to drop.....will I start gaining even though I'm eating responsibly? I need biki's shrinky dink to tell me what's going on in my head.

133 again.

I'm having a really lazy day, well earned, I must say. Not completely lazy, though.....I mean, the laundry is done and there aren't any dishes in the sink. I am having a lazy food day.....not really that interested in eating for some very strange reason. We don't have any fruit in the house and neither of us has the energy to go to the grocery store.....omg, we're a couple of slugs, lol. Hubby's been on the sofa most of the day, I've been sitting here at the puter for awhile now.....I may regret it later, but it feels good right now.

Jo,

You shouldn't have any problem finding sparkly yarn, you may have to ask around about purple though.

I love your grandson's question, musta made you feel super great.
