132 this early morning.

Nothing new in paradise.

I really just wanted to post this morning to beat biki to the punch. Couldn't sleep, so here I am.

I'm not getting enough exercise these days. I get lazy when I work so many hours and exercise is the first thing to go. The good news is that my weight is not inching up like it always had a tendency to do. I'm eating fewer than 1500 calories most days, though. It's so strange. I feel like I'm eating all the time....don't feel deprived at all, but when I count up my calories for the day, I'm surprised to find that the count is so low. Gee, it must be that I'm eating right, eh?

Jo, your journal is one of those that I am so thrilled to see updated. (Yes, I lead a rather quiet and sheltered life so little things do thrill me  ).

You always have such great input and your enthusiasm is contagious.

Awwwww thanks, Tawanda. I appreciate that.

133 today.

I went to Goodwill yesterday on a tip that they might have some good stuff. Gosh, I hate digging through the crap, but I did find a few Karen Scott things and a really cute pair of capris. Spent all of 6 bucks! I'm very picky and will not buy anything that looks worn, so there was alot of digging involved. Found a few Jjill items, but they were too big. I sent my coworker to grab those.

On the knitting front, I just finished my second pair of socks and started a matching pair of baby booties. These I will give to my DIL and Lukie. She knows she's getting the socks, but doens't know about the booties.

I'm really excited to start knitting some alpaca yarn that I bought from a local alpaca sheep farmer. It's cool to know the person who processed the very yarn I'm knitting. Alpaca wool is sooooo soft, almost like angora only not as fuzzy. I'm using the natural color - black, lol and I'll make a cardigan....I think.

Oh yeah, and one more thing. I'm taking another class....this time it's for a boiled wool purse. I'll knit the purse, then wash it in sudsy water and it will felt (the stitches will disappear and it will look like felt). The we are going to decorate it with a felting technique using roving and felting needles.....can't wait for that.

I'll get busy and post pictures one of these days when I can stop knitting long enough to snap them.

Diet tip for the day: You can't eat while knitting.

Hey Sojo, I'll make a deal with ya. You learn to knit and I'll learn Spanish......you first, hehehe.

133 this morning. My eating is a bit unscheduled these days. I'm trying not to go more than 3-4 hours between meals, but between meetings and work load, it's been hard. Some days, I have to eat every 2 hours for half the day to get enough food in. Last night, I ate my dinner at 9:30, ugh. Good thing I had made some really low fat chicken chili. After dinner, I counted up my calories for the day and was still at only 1200, so I had a little treat from the freezer.

Ok, jo, one foot in front of the other.....work, eat, sleep.

Jo, don't you feel that if you can maintain during this very busy & hectic time for you, that maintainance during the slower work time will be a breeze? I hope that is the case for you. I admire your accomplishment and your persistance. I'm trying to walk in your footsteps.

Another person who I enjoyed reading their posts and seeing their weight loss journey is Lauren. She is inspirational, too.

I've not picked up my knitting needles and my sock book yet, but I plan to get to it soon. :)

Towanda,

As long as I keep focused, maintenance will be a breeze. If I let my guard down, I will struggle.

Yep, Lauren is da bomb. She's so busy with her new social life that she doesn't post much. I, on the other hand, don't have a life, so I come here for action......lolol. :roflmao:

133 today. Feeling thin. I put on a jacket that I haven't worn since December and I'm swimming in it. hmmmmm. Would three pounds make that much difference? Oh well, I won't question it. I wore the jacket anyway, because it feels good and makes me feel small.

'Minds me of my size 9/10 leather jacket that now fits comfortably and you thought I would look like a biker!
I should have let you think it!
Ain't maintenance fun...we get to eat lemon meringue and pun'kin pie once in a while.
Just happy that we are learning what it takes to maintain.
You inspire...

134 Today.

I've been doing a 4&2 for a few days because I just feel bloated for some reason. My life is very sedentary right now......9-11 hours at a desk with few chances to get up and even stretch, so I think that's making me retain water. Ankles a little puffy, etc. Funny thing is, I'm not worried. I recognize what's going on with my body and I'm NOT freakin' out and binging because of it. I see myself growing every day into a normal, thin, person. Yea me.
