Today, I will have a tossed salad with my lunch......that's gonna feel wierd, but I'm up for it.
I'm turning into a thin person inside and out.....and it feels great!

JO, I am so excited for you and I can so relate to how you feel!
Thin is indeed a miracle!

132.5 this morning. Week one of transition finished.

Today is fruit day and I'm trying to decide which to choose. Banana? Apple? Orange? Berries? Hmmmm. So much fruit, so little time. I think if I can find a ripe banana at the store, I'll try that. This will probably kick me out of ketosis just in time for Christmas, but I'm not worried. My house will be so full of guests that I won't have much time to think about eating.

Have a few grapes for me!!! I'm having the grape dreams again! And I don't think it's just because Russell Crowe was feeding them to me! I think it was just about the grapes!

yay, you're doing great! I'm so happy for you!

As it turns out, dede, I did have one grape! Went to Calaras with my dil and had a salad and an apple. My grandson had the fruit cup and I ate a grape and a piece of pineapple out of that. It was very good and quite sweet.

I'm glad I checked my protocol tonight when I got home because I thought I was behind on my supplements, but luckily, I should only have 4/day this week. I was wondering how I would fit it all in!

Ok, so I'm having trouble with this transition thing. I walked off this morning without my salad and fruit. Soooooooo, I've gotta rethink my day....either walk over to the grocery store or eat all my "real" food this evening......and we're having an open house at our new office tonight and I don't have a spare minute to worry about food, at least the stuff that's going into my mouth.....and dang! - Can't I just be on Medifast forever?

I vote for the walk to the grocery. Ten minutes out of your day, to alleviate hours of stress about it.

Good luck!

Well, everyone's gone home except my oldest son. It's all quiet on the homefront. We had a terrific Christmas starting with our open house last Thursday. My DIL and kids and my sister arrived on Thursday, too. My sis and I went last minute shopping on Friday. Saturday, Dan came and we had a nice family dinner. Mark made ribs. I had eaten my L&G at lunch, though (salmon, mmmm), so no ribs for me. Sunday, we had our big family dinner at my house. My strategy worked well. I had a bit of everything I wanted. The only thing I skipped that I know I would have liked was bread.....home made rolls......Just didn't want to go there. I was full way too soon, so I didn't really get to try everything. I was very picky, lol. I had a thin slice of pumpkin pie and a thin slice of pumpkin chifon cake. Both very good.

Yesterday was very quiet because the kids left for home after dinner on Sunday. Just Mark, Dan, and I. We opened a few gifts, had breakfast, then just did our thing for the rest of the day. Mark made wings on the grill for he and Dan. I had my usual chicken on the grill with veggies. Back in the swing. The pumpkin pie in the fridge didn't even talk to me. The leftover cookies, fudge, nut roll, peanut brittle, pies, and other various munchies will probably rot and be pitched. I still can't believe I went through the whole holiday without having even one cookie. I really didn't set out with that in mind. I just didn't want one......go figure.

Oh yeah, and let me tell you! Santa was very good to me. I musta been a good girl this year! My dear, dear, dear husband got me the Brooks Brothers coat that I have been drooling over. It's a brown wool coat with a racoon fur collar.....size 8. Love it, love it, love it! He also bought me a beautiful sweater. This is the first clothing he's bought for me in well over 20 years, so that makes it ever so meaningful.

Have I told you all? I love Christmas.....I love being with my family. I had tears in my eyes when I told my dear DIL how much I love having all of us together. It doesn't happen often enough.

Congrats on your great Christmas and your thoughtful husband. I have two Brooks Brothers sweaters I haven't worn in 4 years tucked away-size medium-that I couldn't bear to donate to the homeless when I sent all my other stuff away...you are a great example of what can happen if we keep on shaking!

133 this morning. It's funny. I step on the scale fully expecting to have gained. By this time last go round, I had gained 8 pounds. This time I'm stretching out the transition and since I had been doing the 5 & 1, I believe it's less of a shock to be adding the new foods.

Today's menu:

Oatmeal
Beef stew w/ celery sticks
Blackberries and yogurt
Chocolate mint bar
Pork roast and summer squash
Chocolate pudding

That's alot of food to eat. I'm finding it a bit hard to get everything in, but as long as I'm not gaining, I'll follow the transition routine.
