Hey Chynna, thanks for the wishes

Funny how a day can turn around......

Hubster found a place that had 4 trees left, all of them marked down to 1/2 price. We thought, oh well, a tree is a tree, so even if no one else wanted it, we would take what we could get at this point. Welllll, he brought the tree home and it's so unbelievably perfect, I couldn't have picked a better tree out of a hundred trees. The man told hubby that the reason it hadn't sold is that most people don't want one that big and that expensive......but at 1/2 price, it was fine and the height.....!!!......the angel is just about 1/2 inch from touching the ceiling.....just perfect.

As for the sweater. I had resigned myself to going out and finding another gift (with all of that extra time I have on my hands), when I got a phone call from the owner of the company in Ireland that makes the sweaters! It was so cool. He had a cute Irish accent and told me that he was so sorry and that somehow my order was lost in the shuffle and that he was going to FedX the sweater today and I should have it tomorrow or Monday. I was so relieved that I couldn't be angry with him. In his cute little Irish accent he said "Thanks for being so understanding, miss. To be honest, I was afraid I would be hammered and rightly so"....so cute.

So my Christmas guardian angel was looking after me today, fer sur.

I have a thing for men with accents too, though usually British. I think I watched too much Masterpiece Theater while growing up. I lost my virginity to a Brit, I was engaged to another Brit and finally ended up marrying a Brit but his accent is different because he grew up in Zimbabwe. People always think he's Australian. I also used to hang out with rugby players from New Zealand when I was in my 20's. So glad your sweater ordeal turned out okay! :)

Jo - so glad your back and happy for you that things are working out and falling into place!

I too had a tree issue (I bought the wrong one - acck!) and was terribly upset when I tried to put it up one night and realized I had to go and get another one - AND the one I have can't be returned. I was almost in tears as it was during my PMS hell week - - my daughter said 'Mommy, you know Christmas is not about the tree, the tree doesn't matter!'. I was thinking of how sweet she is and how proud I am and how lucky I am that my 7 year old can remind me of the meaning of the season when she said....'you know Christmas is about the presents'. LOL

And, it turns out that my brother and his new wife were in need of a tree and are tight on cash - so I gave them the one I didn't use AND I went out that night and bought a new one and Hobby Lobby had them on sale 50% off - - I got the one I looked at in October but didn't buy because of the price....but at 50% off, I was thrilled :-)

Anyway, glad things are going your way!!

Thanks, girls

I just love the smell of my frasier fir tree. It's so aromatic....fills the house.

The sweater issue is only resolved on paper. As of this moment, I have yet to see it. Crossing my fingers that it is at my door when I get home.

Merry Christmas everyone. We have a busy week ahead, but I'll be thinking of you. My goal this week is to be sane about food. I'll be back next week.

Take care and enjoy your families.

Thanks, chickie babes! I had a great holiday....lots of family and lots of fun with the kiddies. We had so much togetherness that I am now sharing my grandson's sniffles. I never get a cold, so I'm a complete wimp when I do. I mean, I have a fever and everythinggggggg......and I'm snifflingggggggg, and my head hurtssssssss....

Anyway, it's a new year. I'm on plan for awhile. Back to reality and happy to be there.
