Well, just keep your new one in the safe for tiara-related emergencies.

I haven't updated my knitting progress lately, and yes it does relate to Medifast, well, because I love to knit and I just want to post about it here.

My latest finished project is a fuzzy pair of boiled wool slippers. I don't want to make a certain frosted violet envious (or is that jealous?), but they are a beautiful purple with turquoise (my current favorite color) trim and sole.......no, they are NOT for sale, bebes, unless you are willing in to pay an outragous amount (as in the $1800 handbag ballpark)

I finished my alpaca sweater, but the sleeves are too long, so my knitting guru is going to teach me to remove the cuffs and shorten the sleeves. That'll teach me to NOT follow directions. I don't know why I didn't think to measure my own dang arms to get the length for the sleeve. :hammerhead:

I dragged my hubster along on the walk last night. The walk seemed to go faster and we went further than when I take my ipod. He's more interesting to talk to than an ipod and I told him so.

I finally broke down and bought stickers. I found these really cute wrapped hard candy stickers and some funky stars. The candy stickers are for a good food day (how ironic) and the stars are for a good exercise day. I'm sitting here looking at my calendar with 2 stickers on yesterday and I want to show everyone, but they will just think I'm being childish. We all know that is just ridiculous! :goofyjump:

We've been walking every night after work. Hubster is training for his hunting trip in a few weeks. They walk sometimes up to 14 miles in a day on that trip and the dogs probably run 2 or 3 times that. He has to fatten them up before the trip or they get way too skinny. Why can't I have that problem?

My calendar has 3 days of stickers on it now. I'm just so proud of myself. Sorry, but it's hard to be humble when your calendar says you should be proud.

I'm sensing a real change in the forum. It's sad in a way because so many have disappeared, but it's also encouraging to see so many new faces. Oh well, I'm still here.

JO, glad you're still here...it's good to see familiar faces along with the excited new ones!
I haven't tried the stickers yet, but it sounds fun.
'grats on the walking with hub...best and most enjoyable kind of exercise to me.

Hi Jo! Glad to hear you've joined the sticker craze.

My calendar looks awesome and I hadn't even thought about getting to continue with the stickers once we make it to maintenance land. Super!

I bought stickers (boring metallic stars) but haven't used them yet. I will begin today--- 100% compliance gets me a star. Will have to work on exercise rewards soon, too.

Congratulations Jo!

Jo,

Thanks for being your supportive self! I believe that I started the first time around sometime around the same time you did. However, I fell off, got pregnant, yadda yadda.

It has been such a blessing to see your progress and then maintenance. I only hope that I can be the same for others. I'd love to be in the Queen's Court!

I've been reading your last, oh, 5 or 6 pages of journals and I so understand the traveling and weight gain, and the exercise habit/routine. You're doing so well! I can't wait to be at that point. I am a sports fanatic, and I want to join recreational league sports here at home, and possibly do a 5K with my best friend who is also trying to lose weight. (I haven't turned her on to MF yet, but I'm working on it!)

We're actually planning our Thanksgiving and Christmas meals so that others can enjoy whatever they'd like, but so we actually have something to eat at those meals. I'm a southerner who used to cook rich casseroles and breads, etc. for holiday occasions. This time, I'm having roasted turkey, green beans and zucchini pie for my Thanksgiving plate. Probably much of the same for Christmas.

I have every intention of seeing this all the way to the end and beyond!

Blessings,
Tammy

Last Thanksgiving we were staying at a bed and breakfast for Thanksgiving and I had started the program the day before. I had a boiled egg for dinner since I had planned just to do a 6-0 but got hungry. This Thanksgiving I will definitely have some turkey!

I remember the year we moved into this house. We moved the week of Thanksgiving and didn't even try to do anything special. We had sloppy joes for TG dinner that year.

My family will be visiting Montana looking for property this year and I have to stay home to run the farm. Be all by myself for TG. Actually, kinda looking forward to it in a way.
