Of course! One or two. And I could watch Maury and soaps instead of walking. We would have to buy bread again. I told my husband it was a trigger food for me so he doesn't eat it anymore. He can be very sweet.

See, but now you won't feel so bad about losing slowly. Your body's just waiting for Jo's return.

I think we get back late on the 29, so ya better set it for the 30th. I hope your body cooperates, hehe.

You know that I would forgive you for reaching goal while I'm gone before I would forgive you for eating jam sammiches.

I know but I am just setting my goal on Fitday. Originally my goal was coincidentally your birthday, remember? To hit goal for your return I would need to lose 3.22 pounds a week. Not looking too good right now but I know I am capable of pulling big numbers when things are going right so we will see!

Just a little update, troops.

Though I've been doing the c25k for over a month, I'm only on week 2 of the instructions, but that's because I'm in no hurry to run a marathon. I did the first week for 2 weeks and then slacked a little bit, but now I'm doing the second week. Unfortunately, my knees could be an issue.....not that I don't deserve to have knee pain with all the extra weight I made them carry around all those years. I haven't had any knee pain for over a year and thought they were back to 100%, but since starting to jog a bit, they are bothering me.....just a little. I'm gonna run through it unless the discomfort becomes pain.....we'll see what happens.

Going shoppin' with the hubster this afternoon....outlet mall, waaahoooooo! He says he needs shorts for vacation.....he's gonna eat my dust when my shoes hit the pavement. It's been literally weeks since I've bought anything new.....I'm so due for a new outfit!

I started the C25K and then hurt my shoulder and neck. My chiropractor thinks it was the running so I stopped. Now I am going to start again but on the padded track at the high school. OMG, I am going to run in public.

Have fun! :) I haven't had anything new except 250 dollars worth of stuff on EBAY in a long time. That doesn't really count. Just some perfume.

You posted this over on my thread in Studio. I thought it was an interesting and thought provoking train of thought so I wanted to answer over here. Hope that's OK.

?? Maybe in regards to pageants, but I could name a few areas that have suffered greatly.

I wasn't really trying to make a political statement, but I guess as far as the women's movement, like any big change in our culture there are pros and cons and sometimes a lack of balance. But overall, I am thankful that some women took a hard stand, I believe it has made my life better in many areas. Today's young women take so many things for granted that we had to struggle for, especially in the work place. There is still a ways to go, not only for women but for all minorities...but balance is always the challenge.

Mickey, I was thinking more in terms of what it has done to family life and the quality of life of our children. Sorry to clutter your studio post with it. I don't always think before I type.
