Okay, I've got to ask. What is happening in Sojo's life today? You two have talked about sharing certain dates and I believe that her b'day is near (or on Mike's b'day in October)....so what is today for her? I've skimmed through her journal but didn't find the post that I know I've read about the similiarities you two share, but I did find that in October '06 you two were talking about them.....and saying 'in the other thread'. I've been drinking my water :shock: while reading/skimming but I want to drink COFFEE!!! and so -- here I am, to ask the birthday girl....what do I get to say 'congratulations' to Sojo on today? :D

Hope you are having an easy day -- or even better -- that you are enjoying a day OFF for Jo. :D

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I had a pretty normal day yesterday. We went out to dinner. I had steak and zucchini cakes with a salad.....yummy. My birthday cake was a small chocolate cone at the DQ. That's the first icecream I've had in almost 2 years. I used to have one of those almost every day if not a blizzard or something else gooey. Funny thing is....it doesn't even tempt me anymore. There is a whole list of foods that I don't even want to add back to my diet......pizza, pasta, french fries, ice cream. Who needs it? I'd much rather have a good piece of meat and a salad.

I think that's why I didn't gain weight in the hospital. People were stufffing themselves with burgers, pizza and fries everyday in front of me and I usually had 2 veggie burgers and salad for lunch and dinner. I never finished my breakfast because it was so greasy. One day I had cake and ice cream for a little party we were having and that was enough. I am glad you had a great time and a satisfying dinner!

jo, you are one of my heros.
Celebrating reallly without food being the main attraction. When I read your post about dinner I immediately thought, yep, that's the way I will have to be too. Actually not have to , will be. Food is simply fuel, not the center of my happiness.
