Joleen, have you tried wearing your tiara at work? That will reinforce who the boss really is and let you spend more time at the computer.

Is jo withdrawal anything like bebes withdrawal?

I felt like a prisoner at my house yesterday. Hubby away, pile of laundry to sort through, ironing to do. On top of that, my kitchen is gutted so I cooked my meals using the microwave in my bathroom and made coffee in the hall bathroom. I could go on, but the worst part was that I couldn't check in here unless I wanted to dig the puter out of the guest room and haul it to the kitchen, hook it up......anyway, way too much work for me.

Someone needs to remind me of the starving children in Africa......ok, perspective helps.

Hi Jo - glad to hear that everything is going well. You need to post pictures of your kitchen when it is done...I bet it's going to look great - are you going for that gourmet look? I remember the discussions on the counter tops and how you decided on quartz (I think) I had never heard of that before.

Jo, order a wireless laptop because we need your presence here. :D It could be called a business expense......because we need to know what you're doing each day (sticking our noses into your personal business). :D

I have a wireless laptop, but the connection is in the kitchen and I can't get to it just now. Don't worry, it won't be too long and I'm getting to work earlier and getting much more done. I'm thinking a few days off might be in my future, hehe.

Suz, I am taking progress photos of the kitchen. I'll post before and after pics when it's all done before I have a chance to clutter it up. But seriously, it's contemporary, so clutter won't work.....we're being ruthless about getting rid of the nic-nacs.

Also a business expense for her purple sparkly sock knitting business! (Oh, I will be needing winter accessories such as that hat of hair and gloves and a scarf. Just giving you advance warning.  )

You're so teeny that shouldn't take too long. And at the speed I'm going, my things will be goal-reaching gifts.

Hi everyone. I haven't been around alot this week sans home computer, but I have been able to sort of keep up with your posts.

Things are going great here. Our town is having it's "Laurel Festival" right now (named for our beautiful abundance of Mountain Laural) and my husband's class reunion is this weekend, so we've been seeing alot of old friends this week. Last night, my high school girlfriends and I had our annual dinner together. It was great fun. They make me feel like a teenager again and I'm sure it's funny to see a bunch of 50's types acting like school girls, lol.....good thing about being 50 is that we don't care what anyone thinks! We had plans to go away this weekend, so we won't be attending the actual reunion, but at least we saw who we needed to see.

On the MF front, things are going well. I'm not freaking out at being a pound or 2 over goal although I do want to be there, I'm not doing anything drastic to get there. I see this as progress. I'm weighing every day and really watching what I put into my mouth most of the time. I had to take a step back and congratulate myself for eating healthy and being reasonable instead of continuing to beat myself up about 2 pounds. In other words, I've calmed down about it. I know that if I eat the way I should and have been, I will remain at a good weight for me.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond to everything going on here, but soon things will get back to normal and you'll be tired of me posting all the time.

Joleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnn!!! Come back. You missed my psychiatric crisis which is probably for the best. I am still dealing with some depression but it seems much more manageable now~ Don't want to overwhelm you with things when you just walk in the door.
