Jolene, you have more fun here than I do. I knew somehow the authorities would become involved but I thought that would be only if Lauren came too!

Wow Jo! Getting to meet SS members and be in a fender bender along with sitting in a booth where JFK's bum sat.......and we'll just let the rest go without comment. ;)

I hope you & Biki have a wonderful time together!! :D Looking forward to some photos of two smiling friends along with some pretty sparkly violet socks!

Sounds like you are having a ball. I just visiting D.C. and all the different monuments, etc. And you even met the Secret Service - what are the chances of that? I hope you continue to have fun....

We did have lots of fun! I'm so glad we had the chance to meet.

I was just thinking this morning about how it would have been 2 years ago if I had the chance to meet an online friend. I do believe I wouldn't have had the courage to put myself out there. What a pitiful, sad character I left behind.

That's wonderful Jo that you left her behind and have found the you that was waiting to emerge. I am so glad you had fun - and the pictures are great. I still think it would be fun to take a MakeMeThinner forum cruise someday. We could all spend a couple days together MFing.

Instead you were full of joy and light! You are the type of friend I wish I could make here in DC.

bebes! I don't know what happened, but I haven't seen your post above until just now. I've been on the forum, but haven't been to my journal in days. What a sweet thing to say! I, too, felt that we could be good real life friends......not that we have so much in common, but something clicked with us....I dunno....sleep deprivation?....and it carried out to our real life meeting. Sometimes opposites make the best friends because we can live through each other's experiences.

If you learn how to drive someday, it wouldn't be out of the question for us to meet up half way from time to time, ya know.

Now on to me because we all know it's all about me, hehe.

I'm getting much closer to my comfort zone and it feels so good to be out of the "red" area. Just a few more pounds. Nancy asked me why I felt it was so important to be below my goal.....I need to answer that email, lol....but I'll answer here, too. At goal and a little above I feel like I'm on the edge of a cliff. Below goal it's easier to breathe. When I'm at or above goal, everything I eat causes guilt except for supplements. I know that's kinda sick, but it'a true. The reason I want to stay under goal is that I feel more normal there. That's all. I just feel better there.

But then doesn't that "below-goal" number just really become your goal? Not to mess with your head here, and whatever works for you, but if, say, you feel more comfortable at 133 or 134 rather than your "goal" of 135, then isn't your REAL goal just 133 or 134?

I was so pleasantly surprised that you wanted to meet me after all my talk of medications and past craziness. I was relatively normal, wasn't I? :-P (Except for my obsession for my purple socks!!!)

BTW, Jo, the workout I was talking about in my journal is in the July 2007 issue of Shape.

And Biki, you really don't seem crazy at all. You have your issues, but so do we all. You've overcome a lot and made a huge amount of progress, and I think most of us are impressed, not afraid.

Well, folks, they started my kitchen this week and we had to dismantle the puter at home. I'm having withdrawal because the only place I can get online from is work.....for 6-8 weeks! Work has been pretty busy, too, so I can't just live on here from 9-5 weekdays.

Don't worry about me.....I know it's a hardship, but I'll survive......ahhhhh....life's trials...... I will persevere!
