Liz, Since you shared your typical day, I'll share mine:

Breakfast: Medifast oatmeal, but sometimes on Sunday, I'll have MF egg and 1/2 bagel, or real eggs and toast.

Lunch: I've been eating the lowest carb Lean frozen meals I can find. They are there, but you have to dig for them. I add veggies if there aren't enough.

Sometime for lunch, I eat Cottage cheese and fruit.

Snack#1: Light & Fit Yogurt or low fat string cheese & a piece of fruit, but if I had fruit with lunch, I just have a double shot skinny latte for my snack.

Snack#2: MF Bar and hot tea. (my favorite "meal" of the day)

Dinner: Usually a regular ole L&G, but sometimes I add a roll or a sweet potato

Snack#3: MF pudding

Are you eating any fruit at all besides the craisins? No dairy?

Oooh, can I play too? :-) Ya know, Jo, if you think YOU'RE too strict, that makes me positively insane! I haven't added any bread products at all, not even a stray crouton passes my lips, bc, like Lizabette, I am thinking it could create a downward spiral!

My daily menu:

Breakfast: MF Oatmeal & Apple or Pear

Snack: Fage 0% Greek Yogurt (5 oz), Couple handfuls of baby carrots, and another MF Oatmeal

Lunch: BIG salad with lots of veggies, plus baked salmon & egg whites, couple tbsp of olive oil and some walden farms dressing; Another apple;

Snack: MF Oatmeal or Pudding

More Snack: Some ziploc of veggies that I cut: peppers, string beans, cukes, whatever

DInner: Steamed tofu and shrimp with mixed veggies or sushi with veggies;

Snack: Pudding

If I have a particularly exercise heavy day (which I am only just beginning again since the accident), then I add more yogurt or more protein to my L&Gs.

So, really, I am like on a Medifast Supreme plan! :-) I don't think you're crazy at all for wanting to be careful, but I also think you've done a lot better at exploring new foods without as much fear. I just don't feel like the stress that I know it causes me - I had a fantastic night out for dinner Saturday night, and there was definitely more sauce, sodium, and just extra "stuff" included with my fish and veggies, and that alone got me a little anxious, so I was stricter yesterday. Did I need to be? Probably not, but it made me nervous!

We're all nuts, but I do think, Jo, we both have said, that our anxiety will keep us in line...

GOODY GIRLS!
This is almost turning into a maintenance thread. Thank you for the good menu ideas.
I do need some variety to get me out of my rut.

I try to get in 2 fruits and 2 dairy's each day. The Craisins are good for what ails me, so I use them for at least one fruit.
They are great mixed with the almonds for a nice slow snack---savoring one bite at a time with my coffee.
Skim milk with my morning oatmeal and a cup of non-fat buttermilk at some other point during the day.

I also have a fabulous way to fix an apple: (like the fried apples at Cracker Barrell's.) DH likes it, too!
Slice apple into small saucepan. Add about a cup of water with dissolved cream of tarter (1 tsp.), splenda, cinnamin & ginger to taste.
Cook it down until apples are tender and sauce thickened, stirring. I also add Craisins during cooking, if I can afford the calories.
Cool a little and add a little whipped topping. Tastes soooo good!
I have this in place of a pudding for my last snack, sometimes.

You know, everyone losing weight on Medifast has so much to look forward to.
Besides the good healthful foods, the thinny clothes, feeling so good and energetic...
...ready to take on the world!
I highly recommend it, don't you, JO and LAUREN?

135 today. My eating is good, but I've been a sedentary blob for the last two weeks. Work, eat, sleep. That's it. I'm about ready to pop. But I know from many years of experience, that just when I think I can't take one more thing, April 15 comes and the pressure cooker atmosphere is gone yet again. In this case, April 17, but who's counting? ME!

Hubby has our trip all booked and I have no idea where we're going except he keeps dropping hints like "Do you need a new swimming suit? and "We need to go shopping this weekend so that you can get some summer things". I also know that I need my passport. My official guess is Costa Rica, but it's really just a guess. I have no idea.

Paul already had the flights and hotel booked before he told me about HK too. Hubbies can be grand at times. I think I'll keep him.

Hey Miss Jo,

Can you give me some ideas about L&G's? I am running out of ideas and you know how I get when that happens. At least the pizza cravings have stopped.

They do. Not my favorite though. Now funnel cake on the other hand. LOVE it. I was 9 months pregnant in the July, made my husband drive me to the shore (2 hours away) Got 2 funnel cakes and then went home.

Mmmm. Boardwalk pizza is the best too. Nothing better at the beach than pizza and funnel cake!

Hmmm... Let's see...

Boardwalk pizza, extra grease, 1 slice...........1000 calories
Deep-fried funnel cake with extra sugar.......1500 calories
Boardwalk fries...........1000 calories

Making the walk of shame back to the Medifast board-priceless.
