That's not true at all, in my case anyway.

Ha! It wasn't meant to be condescending, just sweet! Hey, I don't easily do sweet - I am New Yorker after all - perhaps that's the problem in my delivery! :-)

Thanks for your support, ladies. I do know why I stay here. Not only do I get to give support and have the feeling that goes with it, I get it when needed, too.

Just know that however imperfect we all are, we are tackling a huge battle together. It takes all personalities and all shapes and all sizes.

I have lots of imperfections, but at the risk of tooting my own horn, I don't stay upset for long......I am so good at moving on.

T, no worries! I'm one of 7 kids who constantly bantered and teased each other. I enjoy it.

Jo, you are the Simon Cowell of these boards.
Do you watch the contestants when they face the judges after they've performed? They wait for the responses from Randy & Paula with a little bit of nervousness, and if they get good reviews they are happy. But when it's time to hear from Simon, almost everyone takes a deep breath and kind of steels themselves for his response. And when they get a good response from Simon? They're ecstatic. He might say the exact same things as Randy & Paula have, but the contestants know that if Simon says it they can really believe it's sincere because he pulls no punches.

Not that Randy & Paula aren't sincere...but they do hold back and try to make nice. "Yo, man. Did you have fun out there? I am a fan of yours, y'know - you have that great big voice, blah, blah, blah, but tonight it just wasn't good for me, dawg." or..."Well, it was a little pitchy in the beginning, and we didn't get to hear all of your range, but your voice has a beautiful tone to it, blah, blah, blah, and you know we love you!" and then..."If your lifeguard duties were as good as your singing, a lot of people would be drowning."

You are not mean like Simon can be, but you don't pull any punches, either...and I, for one, am always grateful for that.

Just to chime in, too ... even though we've disagreed more than once, Jo, I also appreciate your attitude. And in most cases, it's true - follow the program as written and it will work for you. But I do feel obligated to chime in on occasion with a reminder that it's not ALWAYS strictly true. We are all different and have different histories, and our bodies respond differently to the program (and ANY weight-loss program). No plan is one size fits all, despite what some people believe, and some folks HAVE to tamper a bit with things to get the program to work. Which is one reason we have the nurse and other people to call, to HELP us tinker with things if we need it.

I also think the "just forget it and move on" response is entirely appropriate in some cases. If a person is constantly posting about cheats - no, of course not. If the person has been following the plan for a while and deviates for a meal (or even a day or so), then sure, I think the response generally SHOULD be "stop beating yourself up and just move on."

135 this morning. I'm not feeling as bloated this morning, though, so it's all good.

I couldn't agree with you more, Robin. Deviation from the strict plan can help at times, but I really believe that to start out with that thinking is dangerous. Later on, maybe, but when someone is just starting or having patience issues, I believe that sticking to the plan is the way to go.

Really, how can we know if the deviation worked or whether it was just time to lose a little more. One of the mysteries of MF.

I have to admit Jo, I was a little intimidated by you in a response to a lean and green post I wrote, but now I know its nothing personal and you truly are here to help. Thank you for all your wisdom.

HAHA! That was yesterday, bibi. Thanks for your concern, deer. We took a last minute trip to the city to see my son's new house, had dinner at Buco de Beppo, yummy, and pricelined a 4-star in downtown Pittsburgh. Gotta love that Priceline. We stay in the best hotels and usually only spend around $70.

Tomorrow, it's back to being bound and gagged by the adding machine tape, though......less than a month left!

Oh yeah, btw, 133 yesterday.
