Paper Bags are recyclable
They are also biodegradable
Can you imagine getting caught in the rain with one?
Come to think of it, I'd go with the plastic bag if I were you, Mary.

Just trying to help you save money.
If you were me, you would carry a Coach bag. And you would have several other choices in your closet, depending on mood, outfit, season, etc........all necessary.

Just remember the warning sign: "This bag is not a toy." I wouldn't want you to suffocate!
Hope you are doing well given the l-o-n-g day you will be putting in!
