Thank you for sharing so openly. I too have felt fat all of my life. I really only remember being a child and then wearing a size 12. I'm a size 20 today, but I felt fat when I was a 12 too.

I can't wait to be a size 16 again!

I hope you enjoyed your trip.

Happy Shaking.

Thanks for your kind words. It's nice here because I can be an open book. In my real life, I'm much more careful about what I share, especially regarding my weight and history.

I had a wonderful weekend with my sisters. Our cabin is on 78 acres of wooded land adjacent to a state park. It's so quiet there - but it's only 11 miles from my house, so it's easy to get away from it all.

Any of you with sisters know that putting us together for several days could either be great or a disaster. We just had alot of fun catching up. Did a little shopping and scavaging in antique shops, drank alot of coffee, got all of the problems of the world solved.

On Sunday, we had a family picnic and allowed the rest of the family to invade our little mecca. We had a nice visit and took a trek to "Beartown Rocks", which is exactly what it sounds like......a bunch of huge rocks to climb on. Heck, my mom was even into climbing the rocks!

Here's a picture of my sister Peg, me, and my sister Judy:

Wow Jo! You are definately the "pretty" one!!! ;) You sure do look beautiful Jo. Amazing how weight loss can take years off of one's appearance. I know you're feeling fantastic.
How nice you get away with the sisters. I'm the youngest of 8 and I have 5 sisters. You're right, it can be wonderful or a disaster when we get together.... all has to do with whether or not our hormones are in sync;) We try to have an annual Sisters Night Out and go to a restaurant or something. Even Mom comes. Thanks for sharing so much. You are such a role model for us all.

Jo,
You look radiant! If you could, you should definitely crop that pic and use it as your avatar. You look beautiful and so much younger. Your skin is glowing! I agree with you about enjoying the quietness. I wanted more privacey and property, so we just moved from New Jersey to Pennsylvania. We bought a house on 15 acres of BEAUTIFUL property and our 15 acres are completely surrounded by 541 more acres of preserved state forrest. I love nature and have plenty of it now. I feel like I'm on vacation all year long! I don't miss N.J. at all. I really like it here in P.A.

Elizabeth, You are really trying to start some sibling rivalry with your comments, aren't you, lol. I'm in the middle of 7 children.....oh, the stories I could tell, hehe. And, yeah, I do think it has alot to do with hormones, because I really can't explain how we got along so well otherwise. I love my sisters.

kmr, Where in PA?? Just wondering if we're close. It's very smart to buy land adjacent to state property because it really expands the area where others can't build. Our state park is huge and I really like that we can just walk forever and not run into anyone else.

Wow Jo, you are looking just great! I love that picture of you and you should definitely use it as your avator. You look amazing and I am so impressed. We have a group of gals (10 of us) that get together twice a year for our "all-girl weekend" and "all-girl Christmas party". It's fun to just chick out for a few days. You have inspired me though to attempt to get all 3 of my brothers together for a "sibs-only weekend" this year. I don't know how the spouses might feel about it.

Sorry Jo. I was looking at your avatar when I posted and I saw it said 110 pound club. Seriously, did it change after I posted??? Man the eyes are the first to go.

As far as journalling your food have you tried one of the online journals. I find them easier because they are fun to use which makes me want to use them.

Jo,
Maybe it would be easier if you bought one of those journal books and left it on the kitchen counter. Then whenever you eat something just write it down real quick. That's what i did. I find it to be a pain in the a** to have to run to the computer, log in, then type out everything I've eaten, everytime I eat something. This is just me though. It's so much easier having my jounal right there on the kitchen counter and everything stays nice and neat and private being that it's a journal book. I put it inside my bedside dresser before I go to bed at night and take it out to the kitchen with me, first thing in the morning when I go to have my coffee. This forum is the only place I don't mind taking the time to log onto and type stuff out because I really love this forum and the people on it.
