Hi Dr MJ!

So glad you found us! I know it's kind of overwhelming, but that's what we're here for! Look around all the threads and ask any questions you need to! I'm so glad you're shaking with us! Good luck tomorrow! We'll see what we can do about those size 2's!

Glad you're here!

drm, There's nothing to be afraid of, unless of course, success scares you. This is a great program and you have found the very best forum for support. Good luck!

From one newbie to another- Welcome!

Do yourself a favor and check out the Lean Cuisine Forum right now. See what extracts and syrups might be in your pantry and make a list of those that aren't. Doctoring up the Medifast meals to your own taste is really important. I had begun to dread eating some of my replacements until I found great ways to "leagally" add some easy ingredients and make them pretty darn good!

I have found that some of the soups take longer to rehydrate fully than shown on the box. Don't rush them, it's worth a couple of extra minutes to get the texture right.

Good Luck!
Shake it if you got it, Baby!

Hi and welcome to the group. You will do fine. The first week is pretty tough, but if you can make it through that week, you have the whole thing licked!! There are lots of people on this forum who have lots of answers. Don't ever be afraid to ask a question. Come here to vent, come here to learn, come here to laugh. Just be sure you come here. Support is essential to survive on a plan like this, and people who are not on the plan just don't seem to be able to support you like people who are. Be sure you post a before picture so we can see you!!

It CAN be scary, especially if you've tried other plans before and failed. But if you stick to Medifast, it WILL work. If I can lose weight on it, albeit slowly because of my ruined metabolism, anyone can.

Definitely check out the Lean Cuisine section and browse the forums, and don't be shy about asking any questions.

You'll do great!

You sound just like me! I have not told many people at all that I am on this program because I am afraid that if I fail, they will know it. I told my brother in law this and he said, " why are we like this, why can't we be thankful and praise God when we do well??" duhhh, I was like uhh yeah why can't we? He said it's like we are always waiting for the ball to drop and destroy our happiness or success in this case.

Just tell yourself your doing this, it's a good thing!

BE BRAVE, you CAN do it. If I can last a month on this you can too! :)

Welcome to the team! :goteam:

I too was scared when I started cause I did not feel like I could face one more diet failure. Prayer is part of my day also and is as important to me in my weight loss journey as Medifast is. Soon all your feelings of fear will be replaced by feeling of elation and motivation as you watch the pounds go down!

Welcome, Dr. (You did realize we'd probably shorten that? Hope it's ok)

There are many of us on here who've tried many a thing and they didn't work for whatever reason. But THIS! THIS works! If you work the plan the way it's written, the plan will work for you.

Word of caution: Don't fall into the trap of comparing your rate of loss with others. Our bodies determine how much weight it will shed. And for those times when your weight loss stalls while your body takes stock (or whatever it's doing during that time), look for other non-scale victories of your new body and your new life.

There's lots o' info and support on these boards -- use them (and use) to your advantage. Go get 'em!!

Hi There,
Hmmmmm, well, it's no "if ands or buts". This program works and it will work for you. Believe it -- it's true. Just be very very compliant. Read and re-read the Quick Start Booklet.... food not in there...not in the mouth. It's well worth it. Keep imagining how great you'll feel back in those size 2's. You'll be there. As for me....I'm 5'8" tall and I don't think my skeleton would fit in a size 2  But I did manage to part with about 50 and get back to where "I should be".
You can do it toooooo :D :D

Well I'm already starving but I've determined that broth is going to be my saving grace. Fills me up and tricks my stomach quite a bit. I think it's because it's hot.
