Restarted the program 1/14/2008 after a 2 1/2 year hiatus during which I gained back 50 of the 80 pounds I'd lost.

As of this morning I was at 248.5 pounds.

Guiding principles for me:

1. First and FOREMOST, I know from past experience how much the quality of my already wonderful life will improve when my weight goes down. The things I can do, clothes I can wear, how I feel, how I act, not to mention my diabetes.

2. This is a permanent lifestyle change that is NOT optional unless I want to die earlier than necessary.

3. Discipline and accountability require that I not only follow the program religiously but that I track my progress or lack thereof daily. The only way I can know where I'm going is if I always know where I am. I am not an ostrich.

4. Focus on the benefits every single day. I'm already into my 4th day and can see how much better I feel. As Nancy says, nothing tastes as good as thin feels. And if you're dead or in a coma nothing tastes at all.

Knowing that I'm not doing this alone makes all the difference. Thanks each of you for your support and well wishes.

Feeling great.

Postby Sasa » January 22nd, 2008, 11:11 am

After a no loss weekend, I weighed this morning and dropped 1 1/2 pounds since yesterday morning. :cleader:

Water makes ALL the difference. :water: . At work I have a routine with the water but over the weekend I don't pay enough attention.

This is my 8th day sticking on the plan and I FEEL GREAT!

Another great day.

Postby Sasa » January 23rd, 2008, 9:26 am

I'm thrilled to report another 1/2 pound lost this morning. And I even more thrilled at my fasting blood glucose - 105. That's virtually normal. One of the great things about this plan is the results become apparent quickly. Even when I reach a plateau (and I know I will), we all know that it will pass and when it does - it will be dramatic. It makes resisting the temptation and not giving into the frustration easier.

Still psyched!!
