Hi everyone!
I just wanted to say hi, and that I lurk a lot!
I have very much enjoyed reading the journals here and have been wanting to add my own. So here goes...
Let's see... where shall I start? Well, how about an introduction? Great idea! My name is Heather and I live in Arizona. Yes, ANOTHER zonie! I have met up with the AZ ladies once for dinner and that was fun! I will have to join you girls the next time! I live in North Glendale and am a native of Phoenix. I am 31 and have been with and living with my boyfriend for about 11 years. Not sure when or if we will be married in the future. I just let time tell. I kinda believe that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. What keeps him around is that he can be so darn funny! I also have two cats (who act like toddlers!). One is Sable and the other Baby, hence my name. Both are co-dependent and one has a raging case of borderline personality disorder.
Okay, enough cat talk.
I work full-time as a Psychotherapist, and am a very part-time real estate agent. (I'd rather be a stay at home girlfriend.) Problem is my BF would love to be a stay at home boyfriend. I tell him sometimes that we both need to marry rich. Anyhow, I plan to forgo the 9-5 thing and go into private practice next year. I CAN'T wait! I was planning on becoming a psychologist, but after my first year in my doc program I said enough of that! I NEVER want to write another paper again!
Let's talk about my weight now. I have been overweight my whole life. Well, I was fine coming out at 7 lbs but that's about the last time I saw a normal weight! I did lose 100 lbs twice, once about 6 years ago and again about 3 years ago (got down to a size 12!). Something like that. My highest weight WAS 312 on HS graduation day and I never surpassed that until this year. I weighed in at 321 this morning! Yuck! I am 5' 6" and a size 26. I used Medifast last year in June and stayed on for 5 weeks. The last 3 weeks were tough. I was hanging on by a thread. Then I fell off. I was feeling VERY weak and just couldn't do it anymore. I have a lot of lean mass and I think my body needs a bit more. I was even on the MF 70's. I probably should have done a 6 & 1 then. Well, I lost 21 pounds during that time and felt great about it. I later went back on but couldn't last too long.
I go back and forth with MF. One minute I think I can do it and then I try and then I can't take it another minute! I was drinking a shake every breakfast and morning snack for a few months just to lower my caloric intake and for the vitamins. And whenever I come on here I get so motivated! So, I don't know what to do.
So, I think this does it for an intro. I know a lot of you as I have lurked forever. I miss some that used to post on here last year. But, the crowd now is SO active and exciting, that definitely makes up for it. You guys ROCK!
