RTD's

Postby KellyC » December 7th, 2007, 11:03 am

I rec'd 2 cases of Choco RTD's the other day, and one full case was missing straws.. are they no longer putting straws on these, or did I just get lucky?

I've been running across more and more of my RTDs without straws. I was guessing that their machinery had a problem. Sure makes it difficult to drink them when away from home and hadn't realized there was no straw. :? I feel for you in having a whole case that way......guess I should check the case I just received.

Haven't experienced that yet, but got a few on the way myself.
You can always peel open the aluminum and drink them just like you do a soda.

That bites if you want to use the straw. As for me, I DESPISE the sucking sound they make and my straw always seems to collapse. I always rip them open and pour them into a cup to drink. I hated messing with the darn straw.

Sorry to hear you're strawless :-(

WHAT AN IMPATIENT WOMAN SHE IS!!! no time to pull the straw out a little further (till you get the little "click")

LMAO! OMG it's supposed to CLICK?!? Are you friggin KIDDING me??!!?? I'm gonna pee my pants - - REALLY????? HAHAHAAHA uhmm, yeah, I'm blonde! LOL I don't think patience was the issue....ignorance maybe :-)

OMGosh I'm going to have to try that when on the road - does the sucking sound go away too? Cause I hate that.....plus, I do like drinking them from a cup, I feel a little less silly. Which, as you might imagine, I need all the help with that I can get!

Yeah, the slurping sound goes away, unless you get all the way to the bottom and decide to make your own slurping sounds trying to get out the last drop! The "click" isn't extremely noticeable, you have to stand on one foot with your toes pointed (you have to be wearing sneakers or MBT's) and hold it up to your ear and listen carefully! Nah, but it really isn't extremely noticeable. You can "feel" it mostly. Voila, all chocolate, no air/chocolate mix. Try it next time, tell me if it worked for you. Oh hells bells, it probably won't!! :roflmao:

Just pull the straw til it doesn't pull anymore. Sometimes it "unclicks" while using it, and you have to pull it up again.

Then again, I know alot of people who prefer to just lift open the aluminum tab and drink it that way.

I didn't realize you could peel up the tab.. lol... i jammed my keys through the foil thing when I discovered I didn't have a straw..

For the slurping sound, I hate that too! When you put the straw in though, push back the foil a little bit to leave some room for air to get in and you won't have a slurpy sound. :)

Can you say DUH???!!???
