RTD Choc ?

Postby glitterynile » August 10th, 2006, 7:05 am

I was wondering how the RTD Choc tastes. Is it like the choc shake? I like those and dont have to doctor them up, just ice, water and go.

Classes start up in a little over a week (aug 21) and i was hoping to try them out. I just dont know how many to get if i do.

It would be so easy to throw it in my bag and have it later like i do my bar during class.

I cant stand the vanilla shakes most days, but i like the choc ones. So are the RTD similar?

Thanks

I seriously think there is something wrong with me. I seem to be the only person that doesnt like the RTD. I bought a few last month and seriously had to gag my way thru them. To me they taste nothing like the regular shakes. The convience seems like a good deal tho.

I like 'em if they're nice and cold. I think they're creamier than regular shakes.

I love the Choc. RTD's. In fact I drink about 2/day.

They taste about like a Slim Fast shake if you've ever had one of those. They are very creamy. I can drink them cold or at room temp, but they're better cold.

The only problem is that they are only 8 oz. and they don't last long like the packets do when you add lots of water and ice.

I love, love, love the chocolate RTD's. I agree that they do taste a little like slim fast, but with school and work (which for me is a lot of driving) I find them ridiculously convenient. But they don't taste the same as the regular shakes to me. Definitely creamier.

I too love the Chocolate RTD's. I have at least one a day. The convenience is the big factor for me. Just throw them in your bag and go. I like them cold, room temp and even warm! And they are yummy frozen! I buy them by the case when my order is over $200. That way I get free shipping which is important because they are HEAVY!

They are my favorite, and I like to freeze them and eat them as an ice cream substitute.

I ordered just one choc rtd to sample it and now I wish I'd ordered more. They are WAY better than the packet shakes, much more thick and creamy. They do sort of taste like the slimfast drinks, and I agree with Jo that the only problem with them is their size. I abhor the vanilla shakes, so I didn't even try on as an rtd. School starts for me on Sept 6, so I'll be placing an order for several cases soon.

That's how good they are.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents. I only drink the RTD's b/c of the convenience factor. They are really creamy and I think they taste like chocolate milk.

I didn't gag because of them, but I prefer the regular shakes better.

I prefer the regular shakes because I make mine with 10 oz of water and I find them more filling. If you let it sit just for a little bit, it will be creamier than just an initial shake and go.

I do like the chocolate RTD's, they are good and I only use them for convenience for when I'm traveling (long distance) and I throw a couple in my bag now for when I'm just out and about in the city. Otherwise, I focus on the shakes I can make at home.

You pay for the convenience, really . . . but I do find they are less filling and I'm hungrier faster when I have one of those.
