I personally think the new 'do looks lovely on you. Really shows off your slender neck and those clavicles we all love so much!

You are doing a great job of continuing to take care of yourself even with all the added responsibility. Good for you!

Wow! I likey the haircut! I can tell a difference in your face too between those pics and your avitar! Wow!

Keep on trucking girlie! One meal at a time right. I'm sure I've heard somewhere that we can do anything for 2-3 hours.

Thanks everyone, I really needed something uplifting this evening. My daughter wrecked her truck (rear ended someone - of course her fault) . Everyone is OK, but my dad (who bought her the truck) is really giveing her crap over it :x As if getting the ticket and basically totaling her truck wasn't enough. I am heart broken for her, but I just don't know what to do. For long and personal reasons my parents are guardians for her so they have a say in things like punishment and I think it really sucks that he wants to punish her even more by forcing her to ride the bus (the middle school bus) to high school. He just has no idea the humiliation for a 16 year old junior who has not ridden the bus for 2 years to now have to. Geez she already lost driving privledges until after court (3-4 weeks) and lost her beloved truck she just spent $300 fixing up how much does he want the poor girl to suffer. This is what really bites about living with them. :x :eyecrazy: :aarggh:
I just don't know what to do to comfort her. :brickwall:

Anyway, thank you all for the good vibes. Those were really needed right now and I do feel better about me and my hair anyway.

BTW - the waves and curl are natural - the color is what my mother hates, I really like the cut (took in a pic of Princess Di in her later years), the hilights could have been a bit more subtle, but I like that it is dramatic.

Thanks again.

I love the new do!! I so wish I could wear my hair short but <sigh> my face was never the right shape - even at 105 lbs I needed hair, lol. Then its thin AND fine soooooo - - anyway, I like it!

Sorry things are hard for you right now. Just keep your eye on the prize and you'll get through it.

Hey girl!

I just wanted to let you know that every time I hear George Strait's song "How 'Bout Them Cowgirls" I think of you and your daughter and smile.

Congrats on the 4 lb loss you posted over on the Roll Call thread. Good for you!

Have a great week!

I fixed your ticker once again. It keeps being messed with in your signature somehow.
I believe all you have to do for it to change is log into tickerfactory and change the weight... it usually automatically changes on here.

Let one of us know if it messes up again.

Thanks Tracy - I knew the 10 pounds a week wasn't going to last forever, but I am very happy with 4 pounds in a week.

Even though I am not a big fan of all of George Strait's songs, I do love that one. I think of my daughter when it comes on. She is really a true cowgirl and I am proud to be her mom.

I am working on a Photo Bucket photo album with videos. When I get it done I will post the link so you can see her ride if you want to.

Well, we got through the weekend without any major incidents. Between my daughter's accident, my mom's surgical issues, and my worsening ankle issues life was getting a little rough there. Through it all I was able to stay on plan even when I was at the latest craft show.

The kid and I went to the All American Quarter Horse Congress (only the BIGGEST horse show in the WORLD-literally) and walked and walked and walked. Got to drool over $100,000 horses that I wouldn't buy if I could afford because the animal would probably drop dead as soon as it walked off the trailer. Anyway, while we were there we ran into some folks that had no idea that I am on any kind of "diet", a mom and 14 year old daughter that I haven't seen since August. The daughter just kept looking at me like I was a lepper or something. We talked and they walked away, but then came back a little later to watch the auction with us. I asked if they noticed anything and the mom said that the daughter was shocked at all the weight I had lost. They both said I was looking great. This was the first time since being on the program that I saw someone that I hadn't seen for a while that didn't know I was doing anything. Getting such a sweet response from someone who had no reason to feel obligated to say something (sometimes I wonder if those who know I am really trying to lose weight feel obligated to say I look good or to mention a weight loss). The whole incident made everything else that is going on in my life that much easier to deal with.

I am still getting my work outs by feeding horses and cleaning stalls. While that may not sound like much; it does take over an hour to do all the chores and I try to move at an invigorating pace. When I am done I get to see results (satisfied horses and clean stalls) in addition to knowing that I got a good work out.

So all in all, things are moving along pretty well right now. After all that has been going on recently, I am confident that I can go through just about anything and still stay on plan. AND I know that I am not the only one who really notices the weight loss.

That is a terrific NSV! Aren't unsolicted compliments the best?!

I think sometimes it's hard for the people we see on a daily basis to really notice as we are losing and our bodies are changing gradually. Maybe it's because they see us every day or so and they always compare what we look like today to the last visual image they had of us.

Happy to hear you are holding up with the extra chores and are able to take care of your own priorities like staying diligently on plan. Good for you!!
